Property and oil and gas-related companies offer good value for potential buyout or takeover premiums, said Christopher Wong, a Singapore-based fund manager at Aberdeen Asset Management Asia. Aberdeen funds hold shares in Wheelock  Properties Singapore, which trades at 0.68 of its book value and has founding investors controlling about 76 per cent of the shares. " If stocks continue to be in the doldrums, then the probability of them being privatized is higher," Wong said. Wheelock, Mermaid Maritime Pcl and Dyna-Mac Holdings Ltd are among potential buyout candidates trading below book value, said Carmen Lee,    head of research at  Oversea-Chinese Banking Corp. " Inexpensive" valuations mean companies or individuals with cash are likely to consider taking over or delisting some undervalued stocks this year, she said

Earlier last year, shares of Dyna-Mac were traded early in the morning at $19 when they were last done the day before at  around 13  cents. The trades were quickly busted as errors and the incident forgotten. However at the time, market feedback was that the incident was very odd because after the initial trades were executed, more " sell' ' orders were entered in the GL system at $19 and above. In other words, even though traders would have surely known the trades were erroneous and would therefore have  been cancelled, more orders were entered at the wrong prices. Was this a case of people simply trying their luck?

CEO is good. Also paid off debt and will be cash positive for 2017 with new contracts as reported on sgx. Hope they get more contracts. Seems to have steered company well while others were biting the dust one by one.....swiber,nam cheong, triyards etc etc.
