The behaviour of AHT is quite unusual.  Good not bad though.  I would be keen to hear any theories.  While the hefty sale prices of Novotel Stevens and Ascott Raffles Place may have led to repriciing of SG hotel assets upwards, most of AHT assets are outside Singapore though.
Chart look great

On a broader note - I was a bit miffed that there did not seem to be anything in the SG 2019 budget for middle income folk and stock owners. Until I realised that the tax exemption for SG Reits had apparently been extended until 2025.  This was big to me, and potentially worth over a 6 digit ang pow to me (due to 17% dividend/corporate tax savings), based on my Reits dividends until 2025.  Thank you Mr Heng!
Haha, want to know also.

This one has been quietly inching up.  Anyone with a theory, please kindly alert. Thanks.
Mostly freehold hotel assets.  That means payouts are like forever.

I also consider Ascendas H reit the most favorable among all the STI listed hospitality REIT.

The most preferred choice is AHT because of the following: &ndash
- Strong sponsor
- Low gearing
- Growing DPU
- Exposure to the Japanese and Korea market (personal preference)
- Low P/B ratio and
- Good asset recycling track record i.e. Sold hotel in China at a good premium to NAV, which also indicates the market value of its NAV.
Congrats! V Gd price to get 60+..Yup! If price go lower towards 70.. I would consider

Since 60+ till now recent during the correction. Rare for Hotel REITs to have largely freehold props on SGX..

Good news - AHT  just bought a new Freehold South Korean hotel in Seoul, funded by debt.  With the easing of Korea tensions, and China happy of the peace talks - South Korea should see a boom in tourism.
Any sense or market talk on why the trading halt?  Another purchasee, rights, placement  or M& A related?
You must be (1) joking, (2) bought at the IPO price, ie high, or (3) want to talk down to buy more or get in? I love this Reit and want to collect much more. Steady and reliable ship with great freehold assets.
