Today AGM and EGM day, nothing special. Why this stock burst into action just before AGM? No news.

Burst into life again. Went up as high as 13%.
For a seldom traded stock, today' s volume is very impressive.

HLE business cannot be good as main business is hotel in Malaysia. This year is going to be tough as Malaysia outlook is not good for various reasons.
Why this counter still holding prices?
HLA delisted M& C from London will it mean to inject and list M& C assets in Asia via HLE? I cannot find a good reason why can get a better valuation in SGX

FY 2017 result released. Turnaround and now proofitable.
NTA is 84 cents, cash holding 60.5 mil.
But no special Divdiend or Capital Reduction delcare so not going to reward long suffering shareholders on the sales of LKNII. Declare only Ordinary Dividend is 3 cents.
Prefer to keep the gain proceed for reinvestment but no concrete plan except development of propoerty in Maleka.

What I really mean is no much left as the loan itself is I guess 68 million alos I beleive they talking about reinvest after having clean/stronger financial hence cannot expect a cash distribution.
Oh you attended the EGM, Why the CFO so interesting?
Have they disclose what the plan after this divestment? Previously they spoke about idea lie M& A or RTO, do they say again? Humm... I guess not since most shareholder looking for them to pay divdend with that free cash....

Payback shareholder loan left nothing then how come the NTA per share can become 75 cents (which is about 75 mil SGD)?

At yesterday' s egm, iirc, one shareholder commented that after the sale and squaring off the shareholder' s loan, should have about 60 cents per share in cash. Since management didn' t deny it, I assume its close to the truth. 60 cents per share in free cash and not much visible capex (yet) having sold off most of their China business (esp the major loss making Qingdao hotel), I don' t see why shareholders can' t expect a little bit of special dividend, or even ordinary dividend given it still has profitable businesses generating positive cashflow on hand.

One of the highlights of yesterday' s event I have to say was the CFO. Seldom you have executives volunteering to speak for the board during general meetings but I guess that particular issue touched a raw nerve. More importantly, it shows the culture of inclusiveness within the leadership team Chairman Gan has built up.

But most importantly is the makan. One of the best tuna puffs I' ve eaten, even when compared to some 5 star hotels. Usually the tuna fillings are extremely salty and hard. This one is soft, flavourful, fluffy and buttery.

Paying back shareholder loan after that left nothing. Do not expect special dividend. The best news is if this go through they will get out of watchlist and NTA us 75 cents Abd EPS rose to 80 plus cents. Should be positive. The main points is what next, RTO ? Asset injection?

It is always common for some big boss to set up several subsidiaries or affiliates   just to lose money in order that the big boss will make the money.   That is why you see that mainly the mother makes money while the sons and daughters spend away the money that somehow are the money tha tthe monther may make for herself.

So always believe in scams. Lol.

Hongleong only control this counter through another vehicle listed in the USA, so not so much hurt even if the company earns a bad name.   They (SSH) are smart and can make use of the funds from your company.   As you know our market is manipulative, and subsidiaries lose money is always okay so long as the main company is the beneficiary and able to siphon whatever necessary from them. Shareholders are always the loser.

Laggard      ( Date: 14-Apr-2016 10:36) Posted:

Sound and look like all bad news,

So, even Hong Leong stable is not a safe bet.

But sure it is embrassing for Hong Leong group to see one of their company in this fate.
