Over the short term unlikely, I' d think.  But I believe the worst is over for Shub, n +ve share retracement over the next few qtrs is highly likely.

Active sellers vs passive buyers, and the price went up ? My toes are laughing again.

Talk is cheap, show me that you are right next week.

You shorted at $1.49 and broadcast to the world to stay united to short this counter. What happened?
Buyers like me know more than you.

First, you cannot read simple SGX filing. Now, you cannot even count. Most of the orders on Friday were done by active sellers, dumping their shares onto passive buyers, on the $1.53 price. 7 million shares turnover meant nothing to you if its active selling. Next week you are going to experience the real selling when global markets start dumping in anticipation of a trade war.

Look at the number of thumbs down. Some people are clearly living in their own world. Probably bought most of his shares at an average price of $2 and hopelessly wishing for dividend to go back to previous historical levels.

Suggest you google to educate yourself.

Just type < what is Starhubs yield?>

and < what is Singtels yield >

The answers are all there.

My toes are still laughing.

This is what youre saying:

When a company reports Q1 2019 results and declares say 4% dividend,
it is for Q4 2018, and
when it reports Q2 results and declares say another 4% dividend, it is for Q1 2019,
...
Are you OK?

How do you calculate annual yield?

You take Q4 dividend of precious year, and add Q1,2& 3 of current year?

Both of you need to go back to school, I can also teach you for free.

It seems like u need to attend some classes
The 4c dividend is from the q42018 results
Come 2019, the dividend is 9c, 2.25c per q.
The filing is correct, dividend is always later than results.
How can u put the cart in front of the horse? U go and ask your broker

As per SGX filing:  https://www2.sgx.com/securities/equities/CC3

Dividends

Ex Date: 10/May/19 Record Date:13/May/19 Payment Date: 28/May/19 Rate: $0.0225

Ex Date: 06/May/19 Record Date: 07/May/19 Payment Date: 22/May/19 Rate: $0.04

What 2018?

Read further down the dividend page, 2018 has four dividend payments each $0.04, total $0.16.

You ca doubt me, what pls dont doubt SGX filing.

The amount of dividend they pay is closely tied to their profits and  starhub dividend policy. It would not be substainable to payout more than 90% of their profit.
However, I believe starhub' s share price shouldn' t be determined solely by it' s dividend payout.

Hilarious. Run-of-the-mill retail investor. You do not even know simple concept as price volatility and risk? Such concepts are even known to polytechnic students. Also, you think there is a chance Starhub will be paying an annual dividend of above $0.09? You have no clue what you are doing is it.
What exactly is your investment strategy and framework? Let me guess. Temasek buy, i buy. Temasek sell, i sell.

runaway      ( Date: 20-Jun-2019 21:17) Posted:

Temasek owns 56% of Starhub
Temasek, together with CPF, own 55% of Singtel.

Why is Singtel less risky than Starhub?

Starhub paid $0.0625 for 1st half of 2019. Assuming it pays the same $0.0625 for 2nd half, which is lower than $0.16 in FY 2018, its yield based on todays closing of $1.52 is 8.2%.

Singtel paid $0.107 for 1st half of 2019. Assuming it pays the same as in 2018 2nd half of $0.068, its yield based on todays closing of $3.45 is ONLY 5%.

Why is Singtels return better than Starhub?

Your 6.25 collected this year, 4 is from q42018 and 2.25 is from q12019. 2.25x 4 = 9
