Temasek Astrea IV retail bond

In a rising interest rate environment, bond prices will move down. Buying this will present the risk of your bond holding prices moving down after listing,... AND if you suddenly needed the funds urgently, you may need to dispose at a loss. The only way to ensure your capital does not suffer any reduction in vaue if if you hold-on to these bonds till 2023.

REITs (which are also exposed to int rate movements, of course) offer a yield higher than 4.35%. Furthermore, REITs (not all) pay out 4 times per year...

Both also do not have principal guarantee.

 

Saw this in the faq prospectus, so u are warned.

10) Is there a guaranteed return for Astrea IV PE Bonds?
There is no guaranteed return. Astrea Capital IV Pte. Ltd. is the Sponsor of the transaction but does not guarantee the Bonds.

11) Are the Astrea IV PE Bonds guaranteed by Temasek?
No, the Bonds are not guaranteed by Temasek.

Dont think srs can be used for this . Really there is no 100% safe. , look at hyflux perpetual bond. However, the big name T is there.
