I think he cannot just withdraw? There will be investors who buy high after the offer.
If he puts down his ego and give up privatisation plan as of now, he can save so much money. Given market conditions , BreadTalk would have gone all the way down to only 20 cents or less

In this case those with lost of cash can pickup 4.5% returns as now it is selling at 0.735.  Is this risk free?

Boss don't want to buy at 0.77 already. Price dropped so much. No offer By now 0.30 or below. Offer premium 50% at 0.45. All happy.
why share price drop?  Delisting takeover price is $0.77.

Just briefly look through the offer doc by UOB:

Think probably take around 2 mths? The offer is open for at least 28 days from the mailing date.
Think wait for the document? U probably lose out 1cent (sell at market @ .76) and need to incur broker charges.. unless u got other better need for the cash
