One big impact I see is that many potential sellers of older apartments are now going to progressively hold back their units for sale in the resale market - particularly those in good locations and with enbloc potential. This will put a squeeze on supply. Landed properties will also be in demand, due to limited supply and as enbloc sellers who have been successful in their sales, will now turn to the landed market, as the new apartments will be too small for their liking.
Property prices are not going to go down, unless there is a terrible unforseen crises, something along the scale of SARS or the GFC.
Many projects would start launching after ghost month. Huat ah !!!

CIMB missed this time because DBS "ka chiao ka chiao" lah, issued a HOLD call on APAC Reality. So, round 1 winner was clearly DBS, the big brother. Ha... Ha...
