Dear Adrian,
While I have no rights to judge or dispute on your decision to sell, but I question your motivation and assumption that CLI would correct.
When the price of CLI reaches a certain threshold, the retail investors' rights to take profits also cannot be questioned or disputed after your clarification.
I have another question:   Yes it' s true that the rise or fall of shares is largely driven by sentiments.
But I think that what matters is who could be driving the sentiments to determine the share price?
I would rather err in the safe side to say that the strategic institutional investors are the driver and not the retail investors.   Why?
Simply because these institutions, like Temasek Holdings and their other investment fund managers, have been mopping up the CLI shares.
So, my view is that one should only decide to sell when all these institutions begin to offload and the CapitaLand Investment Board Members and their Development arm start giving early signs of negative news.   Then the correction of CLI shares will be eminent.

Major rules to remember
1. avoid falling in love with a share
2. stay rational - all shares correct so benefit from it
3. no share goes up in a straight line for long
4. sell 50% and buy back when u sense time is right

I want to be 100% transparent here
I am in the queue to sell 50% of my 128,000 CLI (64,000) at 3.35 as
I see this as a short term top
I plan to buy back lower

Hold or buy on strength and good news.
This is wisdom.
This is wisdom.
Why get so work up?
Eventually you will part the shares still when price are good isn' t it? Sell on strength or news

Nice opening at 3.30...Mayb can hit 3.40
It' s called profit taking - it' s up to each investor
I agree with you that they should not do this and should hold
But it' s their right as investors - they have a right to lose money if they want to
They would be better off holding but some may buy on margin and have to sell
as they can' t pick up
Indeed to be honest I see more of this tomorrow with CLI experiencing profit
taking as those that bought Monday but can' t afford to pick up will have to sell
by Thursday at the latest. So expect CLI to drop back to $3.18 before recovering
strongly
This is normal after a 2 day rally totalling about 13-15% - there will probably be a
3-4% drop before recovering- it' s how human nature works - just buy more on weakness

Only Kiasu investors always sell down the price of shares.   They will regret for the rest of their lives.   Yesterday more than 2 million shares were sold at $3.16.   They have thrown away $40 million down the drain.   These dumb people ought to drop out of CLI.
Not to worry, I bgt back at 3.21 this morning.

You mean 3.3.   It is already $3.30.
I think it' s about to break 3.2
Goldman Sachs is a big wig.   As far as I could remember, they will only do an analysis of very high profile companies usually in the US billion and trillion dollars companies.
