The longer the Investment Fund stay in China, the greater the Currency Translation Loss and greater risk of profit getting Totally Wiped Out! RMB will continue to depreciate against SGD & USD in the foreseeable 3 - 6 months. 🙂

 

Also probably they are in blackout ahead of 1H earnings release so cant do anymore buybacks. Looking forward to their guidance and update on the conversion of DI and recoverability of those provisions. Hopefully the slightly more upbeat sentiment towards China RE will also have the spillover effect to this but ultimately, it depends on their ability to recover their DI / ongoing payments by debtors.
