The one who left really gave 3mpty promises . Why soiled his reputation for bluffing the investors ?

I am a shareholder of Olam Group , kindly advise when will the special dividend be declared from the proceeds of Mindspring, which has been paid to Olam on 15 May 2026 ? Ex. CEO said it explicitly ,special dividends will not have to wait for half year or full year to be paid , it will be paid upon receipt of the proceed.

This is natural recycling of the shareholder base. The share price is up 50% from its lows, so paper hands whose primary motive is making a quick buck from the Olam Agri sale announcement will sell to those who are looking to make their money from the breakup situation. A necessary change setting the floor for the share price to continue rising as new investors come in.

 

Trade vol looks high despite weak price.

 

Hope new team will clean up their past soiled reputation !

As to your question, no Olam does not need additional funds. Olam is way past its peak indebtedness, with funds going forward coming from 1) Olam Agri realisation, 2) OGH realisations and 3) working capital wind-down due to fall in cocoa/coffee prices. I have noted elsewhere that it seems some debt that Olam has pays very high interest rates. For myself, if rather than paying a special dividend the company uses the proceeds to pay off debt that is paying more than 10% interest I would be happy. Otherwise I see no reason why management would delay paying out a special dividend

I did this a few weeks back on this forum. Lots of assumptions need to be made including the value of OFI, but based on assumptions I stated clearly in my post I got to around S$2.60 a share.
