In principle, it can be done. But is it worth it unless the differential is really big ?    The risk is it needs  time  to transfer ones' s shares from one exchange to the other and price may change during that period. Furthermore, the stock is quite illiquid. Anyway it have never done that before.

Company expects to report an increase of 190% in 1Q net profit over 2016.

1Q 2016 net profits was US$3.00 translating to US$0.016 per share

Assuming a 190% increase as per company' s guidance, 1Q 2017 net profits would be US$5.7 mil or US$0.034 per share

If the momentum continues 2017 would be a big turnaround story for this company

Wow, US$1.385 now.

E & E sprang into action this morning after the Group announced that 1Q17 net profit is expected to be significantly higher than that of 1Q16 (not less  than 170%).

" The major factors attributable to the increase in net profit in 2017 First Quarter include, inter alia, (i) the increased sales proportion of higher profit margin products arising from an adjustment in product mix allocation and (ii) the increased profit margin of laminates manufactured and sold by the Group, as compared to thecorresponding period in 2016."

Last traded at US$1.20 !

Perhaps, if it can go and stay above $1.20, people would start to look at it again.

The Appeal court at Bermuda is ruling in favour of the majority shareholders of Kingboard Copper Foil Holdings that the entry into the license agreement between Hong Kong Copper Foil and Harvest Resource  was not oppressive conduct and dis not unfairly prejudice the minority shareholders of the company.

With the conclusion of the Kingboard episode and the imminent privatisation of Kingboard Copper Foil, will attention  be turned here ?

NAV = US$1.96

Every now and then, brokering houses would scan through their covered stock to provide a list of potential takeover or privatisation candidates. Probably because of their low liquidity, Elec has escaped the radar of analysts for years. Share prices has also been on a downward spiral in the last few years. It traded as low as US$0.625 in early Feb. Today the last done price was US$0.81, but this is  at  stark contrast to the  US4 at their hey days in 2011. Perhaps they have pushed up prices to that level to facilitate dual  listing in Hong Kong at the time. By the way, the last done price in Hong Kong was HK$7.41.

Just  wonder, with such low transaction volume and that the substantial shareholder holding over 73%, why they still bother to  remain listed here. Incidentally, they did try to privatise the company  in 2009  (before the dual listing) unsucessfully  at a lowly US$1.20.
