I thot the offer might just be raised to 2.55.
Best world out-did my prediction by 1 cent.
Best World raises exit offer price to S$2.56 per share in final offer (businesstimes.com.sg)

Yes. Share price will go above $2.50 and i must admit that i have exited all my holdings. This is a dishonest management where i attended the AGM and they said they would not increase any further exit offer but within 1 month they fail their promise. I will not trust this company anymore. Dydd.

Price go above 2.50 liao.

it' s not a VGO, it' s delisting. BB hold the cards - if they approve delisting, all minorities shares will be cancelled. we no choice one.

Company should revise exit offer now and not next year. Else exit exercise sure fail this round.
Choose, certain 2.50
or uncertain anything.
Everyone has to make a decisive choice.
and move on

Anyone know if they did a share buyback again.😀 I just don't understand
the purpose, instead of saving the money and
making us a better offer for the egm which has a better chance to succeed.
They said they wanted peace in mind and not to get short seller attack again. But is this the valid reason for kicking minor shareholders out? We are in the same boat. Id there is a headwind, let us face together. Do not abandone us.
Anyone knows when is EGM? We must stay united not to agree to the exit offer price. Let it failed, price crash, they raise offer price at $3 next year. Huat ah!
Someone started to trigger the sell off..never mind, let them sell.
Way too cheap is two golden. Dollars.
If can fiight for three , 👍 👍

That will be next year event. As of now, they cannot increase the offer price. I think price will drop back beliw $2 if the SCR failed. Personal view only. We on long term will ride through any waves! Cheers.

That means $2.50 is low offer. Maybe beef up tp $4

I' m not sure that is the reason. In fact buying back shares works against the prospect of getting 75%. Because they are buying back shares from those who would have otherwise voted yes (by definition, given the price). These shares then no longer can vote. This then means that those who always were going to vote no effectively accrete, meaning the likelihood of them reaching 25% to block the deal increases.
Of course the company may not recognise that this is what is actually happening when doing the buyback. If so they are being badly advised.

They just to maximise buy back in order to increase the chances they will siceed in getting minor shareholders to pass 75% support for SCR. These are selfish move and we as minor shareholders should stand firm to condenm this act.

" the company will make extra effort to beef up the offer, although this process would take another year as repatriation of Best World' s retained earnings take place yearly."
Not sure that this repatriation is a hard and fast rule. Sounds a bit dubious to me.

Do note, n the PDF file dated 19 April. They say they use $68m so which is correct. They are trying to mislead
us. In context they should follow that post and use the remaining amount they have set aside for this exercise. And in this kind of exercise, they kind of confuse their target audience.

For those who attended AGM, i fotgot to ask why company spent $6mil plus to buy back at $2.47 while this amount was not catered for in the cash usage chart they showed on that day?
Exciting times indeed! You got me excited too.
Yes, shareholders may say NO to the offer and wait it out.
But no guarantees any beefed up offer will come along. It all depends on market conditions in the future as stated in that last sentence. If waiting is free, why not wait? Another year perhaps??
But if you want the money ASAP, just accept.
Even if a better offer came along next year, it might just be 2.55. Would it be worth it? I don' t know.
