hope  I  read the offers correctly, in my opinion,

it is very likely to be $4.60 eventually.....

to me the offers seem to be quite fair/good,

so as a retail investor,  I will just sign the

aceptance form and mail to back b4 the

closing to get my CNY " ang pow" early...........

" KONG HEE FATT CHOY" to everyone here.......

They just post the offer documents on 13 Feb. it will be in a big envelope. The acceptance will be printed in colour. Your name, securities account etc will be printed. You just sign, date it and indicate the number of shares you want to sell to them. Send back in the self addressed envelope

I have not received Kepland' s offer .

Anyone received Kepland offer by post yet? How do we indicate that we agree to sell our shares to Kep land?

my broker suggested selling Kep land when the news were out and put the money in Kep corp.

initially i was hesitant as i wasnt sure if the offer included the dividend.   When i found out the offer included the dividend, i straight away sold kep land n bgt kep corp.   Kep corp very smart.....

There is no more upside in kep land & there is no point waiting for 0.05 until april ...(dont know when).   If i bgt into kep corp, I would get 0.36 dividend by april as well and the upside in kep corp is enormous.   So i did that...and its been right so far...

In all take over offers, the dividend will go to the Offeror. So if a shareholder gets the dividend before the offer is completed, the Offeror will deduct the dividend paid out from the offer price. In this case you will get 4.24 (if less than 90% accept the offer), or 4.46 (if more than 90% accept). Looking at the transacted price now, likely to be more than 90% will accept and shares will be delisted. It's not important whether you accept now or later. When they announce 90% hit, all will get the higher offer price. It happened to F&N shares when Charoen took over. Read the F&N thread to see if my interpretation is correct.

Hi, think you may got it wrong. this is what i understand from the offer letter. below is an extract.

" As stated in the announcement by the Company dated 21 January 2015, the directors of the Company have proposed that a final one-tier tax exempt dividend (the &ldquo FY2014 Dividend&rdquo ) of S$0.14 per Share be paid for the financial year ended 31 December 2014 (&ldquo FY2014&rdquo ). The proposed FY2014 Dividend, if approved at the Annual General Meeting of the Company to be held on 17 April 2015, is expected to be paid on or about 7 May 2015. The Books Closure Date in respect of the FY2014 Dividend is 5.00 p.m. on 23 April 2015.

For purely illustrative purposes only, assuming:

(a) the settlement date in respect of the Offer Shares validly tendered in acceptance of the Offer falls after the Books Closure Date in respect of the FY2014 Dividend and

(b) the amount of the FY2014 Dividend is S$0.14,

the Offer Price received by an accepting Shareholder shall be S$4.24 and S$4.46 for each Offer Share based on the Base Offer Price and the Higher Offer Price, respectively.  "

Regardless of 4.46, or 4.60, the dividends are included within.

SHARKS !

Keppel Corp well timed this take over and disadvantaged the Keppel Land from enjoying its   $0.14 share dividend

Keppel Land   ex dividend date is 21 -Apr which is after the planned take-over completion date on 13-March

which may imply Keppel Land shareholders have no rights to the dividend at all ..

if they got 90%, they will pay u 4.46, minus the .14 div. so those who sell at 4.54 are those who think they can get 90%. They profit more ( 4.54-4.46= .16 more). So if u accept n give them at 4.38, and if they cannot get 90%, u gain too, becuase mkt px is gg to colllapse way below 4.38, if they annc the result later. I think so.

I am also  new and learning too.

Of course you can now take profit at $4.55/$4.54.

But I think it is still early days unless you  really need  the funds.

The fact that it is trading at $4.55/4.54, the market seems to be

confident of KCorp obtaining > 90% KLand shares.

For me, I will  wait and see.

Just my own opinium.  Cheers.............

sorry.. very new to this..

but should i still hold on to this counter to hope for a 4.60 or just trade it off for 4.55 for more assurance?

if you backout the dividend, kep corp is only paying 4.46 for kep land which is 10% disc to the NAV..seems cheap to me but mkt seems to think it fair

the fact it is trading around $4.55 which is close to $4.60, I think  the

market sees a high chance of kcorp  obtaining > 90% shares.......

cheers......

I think if u accept at 4.38, and if they cannot get the 90%, then yr shr will be gone., so is yr div.

i think dont accept and wait for them to come n get it.

being more or less state owned.....not likely other company is preparing to counter offer.

and SISA just keep quiet :)

no wonder not many global companies want to list here....and most investors/ traders are focusing in US market.
