I suppose 42.5 to 43 is fair price now to pay

Shares of Keppel were down 0.2 per cent or S$0.01 at S$6.85, while KIT units were down 1.1 per cent or S$0.005 at S$0.435, before the midday trading break on Monday.

Above is Excerpt from the news that you say is not related to KIT.

Thenews has an effect on price of both keppel and kit.

I can't see anything bad about more stable earnings and guaranteed concessions worth over a billion.

Market perceives stability as something bad.

Is the recent purchase a bad buy that resulted in prices going south ?

Many have forgotten stability and are chasing growth. This reminds us we need both.

I will have a Sell Order queueing at 0.46 to see if the price does ' rise back' to this level. So far,... it hasn' t,..... Guessed I am more concerned abt the depreciating unit price of KIT.

Based on $27.77 per $1000 "invested" Returns is 2.77% Hope it's more than 2.77% for the next dividend.

I have been queueing on Monday (XDate day) to sell at 0.46,... see if the price will creep back up later in the next few weeks or mths,... a tactic try-out here,... otherwise, I would be glad that I sold out KIT to buy Boustead a few mths ago. See my other posting earlier. Bought BRC Asia too back then,...counter-rotation behaviour,....

You' ll have to buy, take the dividend and after that, run,... then when the next dividend payout date comes again, do the same. Take eg now, if you manage to buy today at 0.455, you will receive the dividend of 1.25c in 11 days' time. Then you queue to sell tomorrow at 0.455 or 0.460,... Based on the movement in the last few days or weeks, you shld be able to sell at this price from Monday onwards.
But takes some work in the above,... unlike dividend investing,... whereby not so much work is needed.

Thank you for your input, ST,....
What is your average price and what was your last buy date for KIT ? Perhaps, from here, we can estimate to a higher degree,... if we can make a net gain with dividend collected over the years vs the capital loss, if any,.....
Actually,.. I' m very tempted to hold KIT too,... simply because it has a payout in February every year. I am trying to build a portfolio of good shares that provide me regular payouts every mth of the year. And this is not taking into account advanced dividend or remainder dividend payouts.

I agree with your views Bro Bear - thanks for the input.

I have invested this one since it was known as CitySpring...haha that' s how long ago
Was collecting quarterly distribution before and now it is half yearly with some special payout in between.
For FY2024, total distribution is $0.039. This works out to a yield of 8.67% if we taking the closing price of $0.45.
Unlike most unit trusts that have their unit price eroding over time, the share price of KIT has not changed much over the years dispite paying our good distribution.
So this one is a good dividend paying investment.
Keeping for long term.

The lazy bear bear prefers to just hibernate a few winters over the dividend payouts and collect a few special ones once in awhile.

This stock is for people who want stability and predictability. Stable cash flows and almost constant dividend payouts, albeit at a steady slight decline in share price.

Not for all peoples. Only for sleepy ones like brown bear

Thank you for replying, bro Bear,...I don' t underdtand this statement tho' ,... : I expect the distributable income from continuing operations to increase in 2025 due to enlarged asset base.
Ok to your other statements.

Great to hear from you bro Cheng. I expect the distributable income from continuing operations to increase in 2025 due to enlarged asset base. One offs and timing differences will factor less in coming annual distributions which I expect to be maintained at 3.90 cents per unit, increasing at a rate of roughly 1 per cent per annum as in the past 4 years. If kit does not continue to expand, its dpu may remain stagnant or even decline if expenses rise significantly. Key risks to consider.

Hi bro Bear,... thank you again for replying,... well,... replying to my own input below written on 23.10.24, the 2HFY24 results are out. The Distrib Income DROPPED by 38.7% to SGD112.7m BUT again, after factoring in one-offs & timing differences, this Distrib Income is then said to have RISEN by 14.7% to SGD109m. All on year-on-year comparisons. Again, the one-offs saved the day.

Total 2HFY24 dpu given out was 1.95c, slightly more than FY2023' s corresponding period payout, without taking into consideration the Special DPU due to Ixom

Thank you for your inputs, Bear,... we' ll observe the 4QFY24 reporting then,... and see the dpu payout. There is a lower number of assets after this to generate rental income,... but of course, there is more money now that can be used to payout dividends after the disposal of the 50% stake in Philippine Coastal

I see timing differences as a Systematic error that occurs in this company's reporting which will be rectified in the next reporting period. So don't take in too much from a quarterly business update because there are timing errors that can only be rectified when the reporting is taken over a longer time frame.

I don't see timing differences causing the company not to pay its obligations on time
