Yes friend. She will pay dividends for two quarters in her next reporting in April 2018.
But between now and then, she will have at least one and sometimes two up and down moves for us to catch and profit from.

Opened up today. premarket open married deal done 1500000 shares at 2.757. earnings out yesterday

 

She is good for chicken run. Any dip to 2.73-2.75 region is a window to LONG her.
She gave me a nice Supermarket cum Grocery voucher today.
IN at 2.74. OUT at 2.76.
Wasted my BUY order at 2.73 was not filled.
She is reporting next Thu (25 Jan) after market close.
No dividend this time round but her prowess during reporting month is still as potent as when she used to pay dividend every quarter.

Earlier she cleared sellers at 2.77 and touched 2.78.
Now 2.76 : 2.77.
A move back to 2.77 : 2.78 followed by sellers at 2.78 being cleared will lend more weight to the case that she probably
found her bottom at 2.73 last 2 sessions and have turned. See my chart and my observations in the previous posting. 

 

This is her 6-Mth Daily chart updated as at market close today.

Look at the chart from left to right and observe how the price moves. 
My observations :

1. The 20-ema (red line) serves as a 1st line of support. If this support fails, the 50-ema (green line) then comes in next to provide
support. Observe that the price either rebounded on touching the 50-ema or rebounded shortly after dipping slightly below the 50-ema.
And it happened again and again for the last 6 months. 

2. What this means is that this stock has repeatedly proven itself to be resilient in that if she dips below her 20-ema, her next support
is at her 50-ema and that she will rebound from there. This gives us a fair measure of comfort and re-assurance that we can Pung Sim
to go in to buy her when she is trading at around her 20-ema/50-ema.

3. Yes, you can wait for her to go lower to test or even dip below her 50-ema (which is currently at 2.71) first before you buy. But what
if this time round, becoz of her upcoming resuts (25 Jan 2018 after market close), she is not going to test or dip below her 50-ema?
What if she having tested her 20-ema (currently at 2.74) wants to rebound for her Results Play? Then you will miss the boat.

So, a trading suggestion is buy some at the 20-ema. If she rebounds from there, add more. If she dips to test her 50-ema, add more
when she stops falling. Then when she makes a U-turn to rebound, load up the rest of your intended allocation for this stock.

The chart also tells us that if her 20-ema cuts below the 50-ema from above, then expect her price to find support at the 200-ema.
But this scenario is not happening as of now and I dont think it will happen between now and her results which is merely 6 trading
days away.

Now 2.75 : 2.76.
Somebody swallowed 564.2 lots in one mouthful. 
That' s a $1.55m trade.
Cannot be somebody' s grandfather quietly trading at home to earn Chup Chye Png Voucher, right?

 

Sorry. I made a mistake about the dividend part.
Ascendas will report results on 25 Jan 2018 after market close and they will announce the DPU but will NOT be paying the 
dividend this month. That' s becoz this REIT pays dividend bi-annually in Apr and Oct each year. So in Apr, they will pay
dividend for 2 quarters at one go.

My apologies. 

 

This pullback will, on hindsight be an excellent opportunity to buy.
She is reporting after market close on 25 Jan 2018 and will be declaring dividend which will likely go XD on 31 Jan 2018.
She rebounded off her 20-ema at 2.74 this morning.
Now 2.75 : 2.76.
Last Fri, I took profits by selling my 2.77s at 2.79.
This morn, reloaded at 2.77 and 2.76. to position myself for Results cum Dividend Play.

General dax,

Ascendas typically firms up and runs in January becoz it is her reporting month. Jan also used to be a month she pays dividends.
But she changed her dividend paying policy recently to now paying dividends bi-annually. Her next dividend payout is in Apr 2018.
That she will run is something we know. What we do not know is whether she will simply trade to the upside from here or whether
she will do a slight pullback and trade sideways for a week before edging higher towards the end of the month. See what she did
in the January of 2017.
