Following delivery, Brassavola will be chartered by Pavilion Energy to supply LNG bunkering in the Port of Singapore. The vessel, which is expected to commence operations in February 2024, will also be deployed by TotalEnergies Marine Fuels to serve its customers under a long-term agreement with Pavilion Energy. Pavilion Energy is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Temasek headquartered in Singapore. Its global energy business encompasses natural gas supply and marketing activities in Southeast Asia and Europe, global LNG trading, shipping and optimisation, as well as energy hedging and financial solutions. Brassavola was constructed based on a proprietary design by Seatrium?s wholly-owned subsidiary LMG Marin, adding to the company?s portfolio of proven LNG bunker vessel designs of various capacities.

 

You are not exactly wrong that it is their business to lose money BUT that is for FY2023. Nobody can say that the management did not warn us about it. 

Any new team taking over a challenging business would want to start from clean slate and no better opportunity to do so by getting rid of all the unwanted old legacies in the year that they are gonna be held accountable for any losses.

Short term view - lose more money in 2023 by writhing off unwanted legacies.

Long term view - without such legacies, company will be able to free up resources, streamlined their operations, focus of maximizing profits and ultimately report a profit in 2024. 

Sink51 should change its name to Soar51 in 2024 :)
