But I do travel with family 5-6 times a year - Singapore really too cramped for relaxing and need variety - hence I appreciate the safety factor and how recent trends will impact Asian tourism positively, including hospitality plays in Singapore, Oz, Japan etc

Make sense.

Asian tourism is a good story - especially if people begin to avoid Europe in droves due to heightened risks - eg my family has been going Europe annually the past few years and I am now switching to Australia, NZ and northern Asia - it's not fun travelling to places where you have to keep looking over your shoulder and worry about trouble and being a soft target. There would be others like me - many others possibly..

but weird right. Japan markets drop after stimulus from Abe

sometimes find market irrational...

Oh - no wonder - there was more good stimulus news from Abe and Jspan today..

ecekca      ( Date: 18-Dec-2015 15:17) Posted:

Would it be better buying AUDSGD and selling SGDJPY be a faster option . it trading at a high P/B of 0.95

With resurgent interest in Aus and Japan as travel destinations, esp given the situation in Euro, and the strengthening currencies against S$ - may strengthen going forward. It was previously dragged down by derivative hedges and weakening currencies.

i reckon acquisition at the wrong timing cos it could be cheaper in few years time.

Aurora Melbourne Central completion in 2019. The aquisition is only the 23 floors of the

service apartments (   strata tiles ) of the 92 storey building. Please read that there comes

with income support clause from UEM should rentals falls short. ( Its   often that the aquirer

pays an upfront or higher price to seller , then what the seller can get ). Sounds like an Aussie

flavoured deal not unlike buying a suburban house with guranteed rentals...... you decide ?

Actually I'm impressed they managed to secure this deal. It looks good on paper given the Central location and proximity to QV Market and the CBD and Melbourne Museum et
