Once the freehold and tall next to Raffles Place 30-storey Robinson Towers is competed by end 2018, and office Rents and values rise, NTA wil climb even much higher and it won't be 0.5 P/B anymore lah.
Tuan Sing has a broad base formation since July 2015 with $0.36 as its neckline. The breakout on Sep 18 & 19 accompanied by high volume  is a bullish sign. Thereafter it formed a small right angle triangle and again breakout on 2 Oct with even higher volume. This is the sign of early bulls. (牛 市 初 期 )
The price/book ratio has been trending lower since 2014 from 0.65 and it' s now about 0.5. That shows how undervalued it is despite the recent run. If we trace back 20 years ago, its P/B during 1996 and 1999 is very much higher. Reversal to means indicates this stock has further to run. Besides, average property stocks' P/B is about 0.8, for Tuan Sing at 0.5 is very undervaled!
Wah hit 40cts and gunning to take out 40.5cts now. The Force is Strong with this One.
We don' t have to go far to find examples of that in Companies and  Orgainzations that are still doing the same old thing and surviving for decades.  The secret to their success is tight control and continued reasonable performance that is on par of above market averages.

Any Management thinking that way will go the way of the dinosaur. Anyway Market sentiment has turned for this TS counter decidedly and decisively.

A small right angle triangle was formed recently with breakout yesterday on very high volume signal very bullish run.
Tuan Sing has 5 prime freehold commercial developments - how does Roxy compare?

If you compare Tuan Sing with Roxy, you will realise how underprice is Tuan Sing share. These 2 companies have roughly the same number of shares and same level of NTA. Yet Roxy' s market cap is about $700  million compared with Tuan Sing' s < $500 million. If you look further into their assets, you will be able to judge which company has a better assets. Perhaps one may say Tuan Sing' s gearing is too high. But debt is a double edge sword. In a falling market, debt is disastrous. But in a rising market, debt is a blessing. The office market is turning up and Robinson Tower completes at right time. I wish Tuan Sing can break its 10 years curse of being undervalued. |

Almost close at 40cents bah. Market finally woke up to the hidden potential of Tuan Sing - may it easily cross 40 cents tomorrow and then panic buying to propel it towards 50cents as the completion of Robinson Towers draws nearer. In between, there will be pockets of good news from the sales of Kandis Residence and Jalan Remaja properties and maybe restructuring of TS non property business.

Yes - so we must make our minority unhappiness known about the poor dividend policy despite the sizeable profits and large asset base.

| This is a tightly controlled Company which is stingy on dividend......... if there is no privatization, then there is no play.........the highest price it reached in the last 5 year was in 2014 at 475 cents...... |

I don't think you are following the composition of the company assets and NTA and RNAV.

Great dig up. Factoring in the 6 basement levels - looks like it is now 2/3 built up.

Great observation - I hope they consider doing a REIT for the 2 Aussie Hyatt hotels, the Robinson Towers and Robinson Point, and the Bukit Timah commercial property. This might monetise the property assets and release a special dividend. Fingers and toes crossed.

In July 2016 the magazine" The Edge" had an article that quotes " OUE is now at 10 years low" . I would say that Tuan Sing is now at 10th year being undervaled. Why I say this? Becasue in 2007, there was an article from Business Times that said Tuan Sing was undervalued. From 2007 to 2017, it is exactly 10 years! Let' s see whether Tuan Sing can break this 10 years curse. There are many good news from Tuan Sing next year, especially the completion of Robinson Tower. Once it is completed, there is a " Development Profit" estimated to be 10% of Building Value to be reflected in the accounts. Not many people is aware of this " Development Profit" .
By the way, I notice Robinson Tower is being constructed day and night, including Sundays, which is good, as early complection can result in earlier cash inflow. Everytime when I notice the building going upwards, I feel really proud of it, including myself. |
