Way I see it, a pretty secure 3-4% yield in 8 months is a better than average return for many investors.
But of course, the choice is yours.

So far....the offer price is $3.38 and dividend is 6c making the total to be $3.44 and it's still early days. Not selling now for below that becoz not much other good buy in the market....this one will give me a sure return of $3.44 for now.
No $3.50 no sell.
See how greedy you are lor. But i think GLP as a company is very good lehz. So wont be surprise if really got counter offer.

Yes, if you indicate for and do not turn up, your proxy or if you didn't indicate any proxy, the Chairman of the Scheme Meeting will be your proxy and vote yes for you. All provided for in the Scheme Document.

In ARA case, I indicated my vote " FOR" the scheme on the proxy form and posted it. In this way, I do not have to physically attend the meeting but still registers my vote. I could not attend anyway.

Just read from ST article below that Scheme of Arrangement deal is aka All Or Nothing deal:
" On Wednesday, private equity firm Blackstone made a cash offer to buy out Croesus at $1.17 per unit via a scheme of arrangement, also known as an " all-or-nothing" deal."

Not every Scheme meeting is the same. Hope it is not too far away. There was once we had to go to an ulu area for HTL holdings Scheme Meeting. They only give us buffet high tea. ARA Asset Management gives Suntec City vouchers. SMRT issues limited edition MRT Card with $30 stored value

Brother Mano and a few others objected to the Scheme and the meeting dragged on till about 6pm. Although a lot of noises, SMRT Scheme had 98% shares voting yes and satisfied the 50% head count (81% plus). I typed this from memory .
After ACRA lodgement, SGX will announce last date to trade shares and then payment into our bank accounts later and finally delisting from SGX.
You don't have to submit any form, just attend the Scheme Meeting to learn something |

SGX will pay the monies into your designated bank account after all formalities done.

If the Scheme goes through, there is no need to sign any consent form or any documents.

meaning u are buying at a premium of ($3.38 - $3.29) + $0.06 = $0.15
The share price before annoucement was $2.70, so +
$0.59 = $3.29 trading price
Assuming ex CD was thursday before fri annoucement, the share price would have been adjust back by $0.06, so $2.70 woul dbe $2.64 ex CD
So today trading price will be $2.64 +
$0.59 = $3.23.
So the premium will be ($3.38 - $3.23) = $0.15
So premium is the same regardless of when is the CD date
