The report estimated that infrastructure spending in Asean would hit US$110 billion a year until 2025, as the region undergoes rapid urbanisation and industrialisation as a result of economic and population growth. Key investments will be made in land, air, rail and sea transport, connectivity for logistics efficiency, utilities, and information communications technology (ICT) infrastructure.
 
" We had to make up . . . had broad-based improvement in the bottom line and top line in all our countries Greater China, South and South-east Asia and rest of the world, reflecting some degree of turnaround in the global economy," he said.
Mr Gupta' s remarks echo that of Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong who in his May Day message noted that global growth was looking up and that it made him " cautiously optimistic" about the Singapore economy this year.

Mr Roland Ng, the new President of  Singapore Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCCI), who  is also managing director and group chief executive of crane supplier Tat Hong Holdings...In May, Mr Ng will lead a delegation of 40 persons to Cambodia and Laos to explore opportunities in infrastructural projects....good news and good signs...Congratulations!
My own observation is that Tat Hong will be doing quite well for last quarter ended 31 March 2017 especially China is spending trillions on infrastructures.....where Tat Hong being the 2nd biggest crane operator there will benefit a lot from the China govt investment....more good news coming....
Tat Hong intends to release its full year 2017 results ended 31 March 2017 after the closing of trading on 30 May 2017 !
Tat Hong perfrormance share sold at 40 cents....good sign that the share price should move higher than this....

PRC economy is doing quite well for the last quarter and still pumping trillion into the economy to prime pump the economy...the Xiongan new city to be built which is part of a planned megaregion called Jing-Jin-Ji comprising Beijing, Tianjin, and the Hebei Province will drive the economy and infrastructure boom.... as PRC 2nd largest tower crane fleet operator, Tat Hong will reap all these PRC measures tremendously....lol....
