Hanwha has 27.05% now. They had existing 3.14%, before buying from Keppel.

With 23.9% holding, will Hanwah raise stake to bring it private? If it comes, it will be too late to catch the wagon. What say you?

Dyna-Mac to enjoy synergies with new substantial shareholder Hanwha, says Maybank Securities

Maybank Securities' Jarick Seet has maintained his " buy" call and 46 cents target price on Dyna-Mac Holdings NO4 4.05% after Korean shipbuilder Hanwha Group emerged as a new substantial shareholder, taking over from Keppel.

Keppel, having exited the offshore and marine business, has been expected to gradually divest its remaining assets in this industry deemed non-core, including Dyna-Mac.

On May 10, Keppel, which first invested in Dyna-Mac back in 2011 for 35 cents each, sold its stake of 23.9% stake for $100 million, which is at a premium of 10% over last Friday' s market price.

" We believe this is a key positive as it removes an overhang, as Keppel had already stated its intentions to sell all its non-core assets," says Seet.

Hanwha Ocean provides one-stop solutions for top and bottom structures, including FPSO, which is in the same business as Dyna-Mac.

Seet believes that Hanwha and Dyna-Mac could form partnerships and create synergies that both parties could benefit from in the booming FPSO space.

" Hanwha Ocean&rsquo s investment also represents firm confirmation by one of the industry&rsquo s largest players of Dyna-Mac&rsquo s value and potential," he adds.

Dyna-Mac' s order book now stands at around $896 million, with deliveries stretching to 2026.

The company' s share price has gained 27.6% year to date and Seet expects that despite so, Dyna-Mac will continue to benefit from the strong demand for FPSO and continue to re-rate as it executes its larger-size contracts and achieves higher profitability.

All the very best with Dynamac.
It surely is the most power stock on SGX this half year.
May it be so in 2H

Given the mentioned of good business performance and record contracts signed coupled with the resurgent of O& G sector and the recent Hanwha' s big stake in Dyna Mac,
I am pretty confident that the share price will not be less than today' s price come July.
My own investment thinking only ah

Sure! Once given birth to the son, one will naturally be committed to raising it. I am sure many who hold currently warrants will convert to mother share come July.

But question is, do I want to buy the son now? There is no guarantee he will turn out to be like his mother come July when the price of mother may be less than what it is today. That is the risk

If you pay $0.15 to raise the son, it will be a exact carbon copy of the mother.
I am planning to do that come July

What is significant is that Keppel showed it wanted to move out of this industry after holding for more than 10 years.
I guess their profits was significant.

If son sold earlier this year, Keppel is making a lot from selling mother and son !!!

Just the mother alone.

The son was sold earlier in the year

Bro Eagle, Keppel sold their warrants much earlier in the year.

The price paid for the mother share was exactly 40 cents a share last week.

Eagle88      ( Date: 13-May-2024 09:42) Posted:

If including the warrants, the buying price per mother share is less than 40 Cents per share.

Based on last Friday mother shares married deal, it did not include the warrants, so Keppel should still be holding 50millions warrants and the mother shares transacted price is $0.40 per share.

Eagle88      ( Date: 13-May-2024 09:53) Posted:

Keppel' s DM warrants 50 Millions, so 50 millions X 0.19 = $ 9.5 millions

$100 millions - $9.5 millions = $90.5 millions

$90.5 millions / 250 millions mother shares = $0.362 per mother share and not $0.40 per share
