This counter will languish in the lows due to unpromising future and uncertainties.
Not a good counter to risk longing, at least not now...
If it goes below
1.60, many will dump and short...
Maybe many have already done so...

Sentiments about its recurring missteps leading to more and more unnecessary expenditure on repairs are not good for the counter. Keep away until things are more sorted out. Can go quite low, so no joking on this.

This counter (SMRT) just penetrated the floor this morning...
Today's low (so far) is
1.60... very dicey...
Coming monday will drop further more. Dow drop on Friday.
Now not the timing fr SMRT
I guess a lot of people wiating to see how SMRT and LTA share the 900 mil cost. One thing is clear.....infrastructure maintenance cost e.g. train track maintenance cost is bear by LTA.
Invest now and see return in 2 years time ? Anyway, I bought some but hope the company able to maintain similar dividend payout (will be lower but not too low) like past years.
Keep our fingers crossed.

Technical players may agree that this can be a continuation pattern in the making now...
At that price, might also need a long time for it to move up.....park money there for 2 years.....
Just checked the chart... there was a low of
1.42 in 2008..

The price action yesterday and today is not too promising...
Not worth a bet... Neutral with downward bias...
Note Temasek holding > 50%, GIC holding ? %. Not that easy.
