The business model of Hyflux is so questionable that management sold the Hyflux Innovation Centre (Bendemeer Road) to Ascendas Reit for $170 m. What do you make of it? NOL taken a similiar step few years ago.
Agree, Hyflux has a strong business base and pipeline, consumer venture is a side issue, maybe a long term M& A target. Suggest to hold.
Thanks, Bro.. for your reply. Yes, am aware of the switching cost n oppt. Hv sold the CPS, and waiting to enter again. Maybe will channel to shares instead.. if it really drops to 0.4..This co will not die easily.

It is very bad for those who hold preference share CPS6%. Today dropped 95 cents and now price is $93.40 cents. ( a loss of 66 cents or 6.6 percent) from par value..
Now whatever coupon rate you get during past year is wipe out if you sell now at current price. So sad to those vested
i think time to sell off hyflux.. see how low it will go..
Any cash flow issue ?
Looks like BBs liquidating. Hyflux was barely able to pay a dividend last Q, so I think there is a very high chance they won' t be able to pay a dividend in Q4.

throughout the years, there are many whiners about their ability to pay. The original investors of this have got their 6% without fail.
hyflux CPS 6% dropped further to $93.89. That is 6.11 percent below par value.
I share same sentiment with you. Especially the new consumer product looks like those MLM type.

hyflux core business is water fitration and related product like membrance. When hyflux goes inot consumer " products" it show that they are not making money and trying to diversify . This is not a good sign.
Just like you do fish balls noodle, not much business patronise your stall, you then try to add more business by doing chay keow teow, then into chai tou kuey etc.
If you are good and profitable one type of business is good enough. Today worst hyflux CPS 6 % dropped further to $94.05
Brother, I don' t follow these two, so hard for me to comment. I only buy the shares n kena hammered .... But from what I know, if u switch, u need to consider switching costs, n also the possibility the one u switch into also drop after div - n what if it drops more? So, it cld just be taking a chance.

Today hyflux preference share 6% is onlt $94.09. That is almost 6 percent down from par value. Will hyflux default in long term as they have outstanding of slightly more than 1 billion
Just thinking aloud... is it worthwhile to sell CPS n buy PSC ? Since CPS is XD now while PSC' s dividents is due soon.
Any expert' s view?
hyflux CPS is not good. No good reason not to be at par value. Hyflux is not doing good
Oops! CPS Just XD, so price is slightly less than PCS.
