Net Asset Per Share was $0.55, may not be the latest but probably about the same. Today, begin with XR, let see how it go.

Today Straits Times - J Rogers to take up Olam rights issues. May give some confidence to share prices.  Smiley

Could you enlighten us how the statistics you have provided here actually show more buyers or sellers?  I don't see the relevance. I can only tell from the price and  not from the volume.

Price  will only shoot up  when there are lots of buyers and few sellers eg SC Global since the  general offer  announcement. In Olam's case, the shares transacted in last five weeks to 21 Dec averaged 49.3m daily, compared with 4.2m in SC Global since 6 Dec.

I think MW has already covered when he delivered the speech and Olam price tanked like crazy.

Guessing only,no proof at all.

skk888      ( Date: 27-Dec-2012 11:13) Posted:

I think so too. It has been quiet since they announced the ex-rights date. And the volume that past couple of days summed up to few hundred million shares. Even if they did not cover, big shorts have already closed their positions...

gavinl      ( Date: 27-Dec-2012 11:09) Posted:

Think MW had covered back his shorts.

Anyone got any views?

I just trying to say that, many people try to justify or show the neutrality of their view by showing there is no conflict of interest...

But you are doing the other way round... which is SPECIAL... good one..

btw, i'm just tok kok here... i don't have money to buy or sell OLAM, and i don't know how to short as well...

Awesome  one...

There are also a lot of people who shorted  the share and then wrote a lot of bad things and claimed the company  was fundamentally bad...

The next day, they changed their position from short to long  and started writing good  things  about the company ...

So that in the next year... they in and out the same stock for countless times...

this is NOT those who believe the company is fundamentally flawed...

The more important question is have one made a profit out of the MW/Olam saga.
