Looking at last Thursday & Wednesday trading session.
Heavy shorting went on last two trading session.
30-July (last Thursday session): short vol: 2,952,300 shares (accounting 37.27% of total daily volume) Average price: 0.243
29-July (last Wednesday session): short vol: 1,592,400 shares (accounting 33.50% of total daily volume) Average price: 0.232
When price creeping up higher and higher, shorters will probably need to cover back and that means additional buying to push the price even higher :) Let' s see how it plays out in the next few trading sessions. Good luck!

Hi. My take is this - CEWL is covered by six analysts with target prices ranging from $0.240 &ndash 0.490. Average analyst target price is around $0.400 with a potential capital upside of around 70%. Coupled with an estimated dividend yield of around 6.2%, total potential return is approximately 76%. CEWL FY19 revenue and net profit jumped 16% and 23% to HK5.6b and HK833m respectively. Reported earnings per share soared 18% to HKD0.30. Based on Bloomberg&rsquo s 8 Jun 2020 data, CEWL trades at 4.2x current PE and 0.4x P/BV. This is significantly lower than its average 2Y PE and P/BV of around 7.3x and 0.6x respectively. CEWL&rsquo s average 10Y PE and P/BV stood at 18.2x and 0.9x respectively. CEWL&rsquo s NAV / share is approximately $0.533.
Furthermore, it trades at lower valuations as compared to SIIC (5x PE) and Beijing Enterprises Water (6x PE)
Prediction is : Near term supports: $0.230 / 0.220 / 0.210 / 0.200 Near term resistances: $0.245 / 0.255 / 0.270
Having said that - Some of the possible risk factors include but not limited to are a broad market selloff project execution risk S chip risk higher leverage from expansion forex risk, subjectivity of chart etc. But to me, it is just a matter of time - Long term investment as CEWL cant get any lower than this. Matter of some positive news about CEWL will push it up significantly. My guess is people are just scared that it is an s-chip, panic sell, but the company is backed by everbright groups - risks are less.

Lower adjustment of interest rate shd save the kongsi some millions RMB per year.
Hope the kongsi is not paying too much of interest thru bonds and loans, resulting in like what happened to many s-chips in the past that got suspended and delisted.
Some of these had ridiculous arrangements for bosses to siphon money out, obviously into their pockets, and some had accounting frauds, etc.
Most of us investors do not understand the true financial state of these s-chips until too late. Likewise the regulator does not seem the wiser, and many investors lost huge amounts.

But i would actually go in with small amount. Short term, i see a bounce. But longer term would be more cautious. The long term bearish momentum is really really strong.
Hence the lower conviction.
