CNOOC assigns Jasper Explorer to drill oil offshore Congo (Brazzaville)

The drilling program for wells in the project will take about 100 days.
Offshore drilling contractor Jasper Offshore has announced that its subsidiary, Jasper Drilling Pte Ltd, has signed a contract with CNOOC Congo SA for conducting drilling operations offshore Congo (Brazzaville).
According to the agreement, which was signed on 21 January 2013, Jasper Drilling will deploy a drillship, Jasper Explorer, to aid CNOOC Congo SA?s drilling operations offshore Congo.
The Jasper Explorer will drill two firm wells and one option well offshore Congo. The drilling program for the two firm wells will take about 100 days, excluding any well testing.
The contract value, based on the programme duration for the two firm wells and mobilisation and demobilisation fees, has been estimated to be approximately US$33 Millions (Sing $41 Millions).
The contract commencement will be in the first half of March 2013 when the rig will depart from its current location in Spain.
Drilling will be expected to start in late March 2013.
Jasper Inv has other building services business, other than offshore oil & gas. With last qtr profits announced and the company is going to book $41 millions revenue earned from this contract, together with other revenues, this FY is expected to be a good year for the company. Share price at 0.052 is low and this laggered oil & gas share price must move up now in tandem with vallianz, charisma and otto marine. Accumulate....
