The impact of a Federal Reserve rate hike on real estate has been vastly overstated.
" This whole hullabloo about a 25 basis point increase on the Fed funds (the Federal funds rate) is really a non-event," he said. " And I think it will have very little impact on anything, including real estate."
Santa Claus Rally guys - trust in inflation...and starhill is pure property play so inflation will kick into this company and push it up!...
The real bull rally has not even begun :)

Not so soon. There will be at least 2 rate hike next year, which it will continue to get hammer

Yes i agreed with you . I also invested in Starhill because of Francis Yeoh but i think he' s not really actively involve in Starhill Reit
I still like Starhill but would prefer it to drop cheaper to scoop more... I' m sure you would love that too

First of all this is part of the YTL Group run by Francis Yeoh one of Malaysias Richest men..this is one company in his stable of companies..1, uno,.......he has listing in power, hotels, utilities, construction, total market cap exceeding US$10b...Their company YTL Corp has also been listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange since 1996, being the first Asian non-Japanese company to be listed there...
When i speak about management i speak of Francis Yeoh..the deals he makes, very few in this part of our world, can match..i know his history from his early buy out of the Malaysian properties(one of which Lot 10 has been redone and pumped into Starhill, " These moves proved fortuitous during the 1997 Asia crisis when the ringgit' s value plunged by more than a third against the dollar. During that time YTL was able to pay down some debts, get more favorable rates and pick up bargains including prime properties in Kuala Lumpur. It paid $130 million in 1999 to buy two shopping malls, Starhill and Lot 10, and the JW Marriott from struggling outfit Taiping  Consolidated." He is a magician he knows how to make $1 to $5...and the access he has to deals, again only a couple in this part of the world have..

Remember also, they paid next to nothing to aquire Starhills properties back in 2008..." Malaysian property developer YTL Corp took over the Macquarie Group&rsquo s entire interest in Singapore-listed Macquarie Prime real estate investment trust (REIT) in an all-cash deal worth S$285 million late last month.  YTL said the deal had it paying 82 cents a unit for 247.1 million units in the REIT, about 26 per cent of the total, valuing the stake at S$202.6 million. The price is a 49 per cent discount to Macquarie Prime REIT&rsquo s net asset value.  The remaining S$80 million is meant for Macquarie&rsquo s 50 per cent stake in the REIT manager, which will allow YTL to control the REIT, said YTL Group managing director Francis Yeoh.Based on Bloomberg consensus estimates, the deal provides a 2009 yield of about 9.4 per cent. Yeoh said it offers &lsquo very compelling returns in Singapore dollar terms&rsquo and reflects his optimism about the Singapore property market."
Again these guys know very what they are doing i am very confident that they(management) will continue to enhance the value of the properties and yields...

mate, care to share why you say very smart management?

Reaching oversold level..
Hit 0.75 today. Might head lower
Still think it will hit 0.74 again before changing direction

Hit 0.76. More room to move lower before switching direction
staying strong at 0.76. yet to oversold
Strong vs other reits . Closed positive today at 0.77

if loan out, we are only entitle to 4% right? Are we also entitle to the dividend?
how does it work
