Hi James Ng,
Tks for info on Sapphire's holding in China VTM.
Price spike for iron ore is probably short term as steel makers are restocking and  production is lower in winter, both happens at the same time. As major miners such as Rio Tinto,  BHP, Fortescue and Vale are increasing their production, price should coming down soon.
On the other hand, price for steel should continue to go up due to anticipated strong demand.
Sapphire price has gone up from 10cts to 50cts during last bull run in  2009 and  I don't think you want to miss this rally...

Sapphire's fundamental is good with very low production cost, the products are all ready stocks ahead of market demands, also the selling price of products is progressively trended up from time to time!

How do you know BB want to buy or sell sapphire??? If want to gamble, better go to RWS, I think it is better and faster. But there might be something, I do not know, so I ask how do you know if BBs want to buy or sell sapphire where there are so m any other counters?
Fundamentally, I prefer china vtm as compared to sapphire for the reasons I list below.....will even be better if china vtm is not delist.....anyways, offer is HK$.1.93 and current share price is HK$1.84...........
Sapphire fundamental is quite weak....unless you tell me otherwise with reasons.....we will see.....
Current market is flushed with liquidity.
Fundamentals are no  longer important at this moment.
Any thing that is cheap will move.  If BB wants to play  Sapphire, it  can move extremely fast
as the majority of the shares are held by substantial shareholders.  From the trading pattern, it appears that there is some
accumulation.
Let's  see........Time and tide waits for no man.

Hi think2profit,
Are you sure that Sapphire still own that amount of share in china VTM? I think you might not follow sapphire or china vtm closely?
When I look at the chart for iron ore and steel, iron ore price had been peforming very well lately but not steel. By right, they are related, but I am not sure the reasons why they are behaving like this currently?
The offer for china vtm is HK1.93 and it is currently trading at HK1.84. At the offer price of HK1.93, I still think that the offer is too low. China vtm is a well managed iron ore company and with iron ore price going to the roof now, it should be doing well if not for the offer of being delist.........not to mention that their iron ore contain hig % of vanadium which are growing in demand as you have mentioned and china demand for iron ore......
As for Sapphire, I am not too sure. Price of steel is still not doing well, perhaps due to the inventories of steel in china is still very high ......

There seems to be some accumulation of sapphire this week. It is good time to start buying in view of growing demand for vanadium which is required for producing high tensile steel and silicon steel. It's 200m shares  in China VTM [iron ore miner]  should perform well...

Technically seems not yet.......
Not sure if china vtm delisted is going to improve Sapphire fundamental..........steel inventory seems to be still very high......
Look at today trend..
monday saphine at least 0.14
If BB want to play. all these fundamental will no longer valid.
Sapphire at this px is deem to be cheap.
We see.
Iron ore price had increased much more then steel price recently.......iron oe is used to produce steel....
If Sapphire had to buy iron ore at a higher price to produce steel, then it is bad......
steel price seems rising but iron ore increases much more when you look at the chart.......
Great !  Just warm up.....come 2013 will be 3rd largest private Iron and Steel Entity in Sichuan.
The other 2 large entities are government owned.

Happy 2013.... Huat la
saphine is next play..
NAV 0.225 now trading at 0.118
Debt from Credit Suisse Financing already paid with China VTM shares.  Get abt few millions cash in return.
Now no more " gain or loss from China VTM shares" to create havoc to P & L.
With the rebound in housing prices in China, price increase in iron and steel, lower energy cost,
this counter is worth about at least 0.45 cents.  The potential from silicon is even more lucrative.

Yes, good heavily buying entry!
