This little super x-fi amp makes the music completely fatigueless. I can listen to my headphone for hours and forget that it is even there. Truly amazing.

I am enjoying my little super x-fi amp everyday. Awesome sounding. Considering to also buy the Super x-fi AIRc headset.
That' s because  Creative the Company being very Creative, naturally also attracts many Creative minds to post many Creative posts and Creative comments in a Creative forum like SJF.  We' ve all heard that like minds think alike, thus it' s logical that Creative minds flock together.
Incidentally, this Creative thread even motivated  Creative posters to purposely create duplicate user IDs just for  Creative thread.

Wow, think I should contact Guiness Book of World Records to submit this post for the " Most Number of the Word Creative in a Forum Post Award" .

Not vested at all in this Creative. But it' s a fun thread to read.

It&rsquo s such a pity that Sim didn&rsquo t recruit people of your calibre who is so creative to come up with such beautiful assumption that sounds so real. CT share price would have shot above $20!
Mr Sim, suggest you recruit a real marketing guru to focus on marketing your Super product. Don&rsquo t just make one announcement and then go back to your hideouts to hibernate. I believe your Super product is fairly good but all you need is real marketing gurus to regularly provide updates to hype it up. Beat the iron while it&rsquo s hot. Otherwise many people including me will be joining the many experts in these forums to condemn your Super product soon.

creative mentions at their online site about their no refund policy, but refunded some buyers.
I guess 1% asked for refund.  creative then use this figure to come out with 99% satisfactory figure.  It is indeed creative and mind-blowing.
if creative announced that it allows return/refund if the product is not satifactory, I think more than 50% will ask for refund.

Yes. personally, I also tried b4.
My view is that CT x-if will die even b4 it heat up.
That,s also why I feel puzzle how Sim derived the 99%.
So far everyone that I know after trying give CT poor rating.
The x-fi effect appear to b &ldquo not attractive&rdquo at all. I doubt other branded would Wan to throw away their $$. Hope they have other better product coming out.
If not with Heng curse, CT may even collapse.

I was some sort of hi-fi enthusiats years ago (发 烧 友 ). I spent way too much time at UIC, Supreme House, Plaza Sing, and later at Adelphi, at the expense of spending time with my then girlfriend. Those days, I would spend hours in the shop auditioning speakers, turntable, cartridges, amplifiers, then later CD players, and worst of all, on speakers cable and interconnect cables.
And what we were trying to achieve was to remove the last bit of graininess from the equipment so we can focus on the music. However, I think nobody ever succceded. Too much effort sepnt on finding the perfect gear, and not much time left to enjoy the music.
The focus back then was mostly on the QUALITY of the music (like got depth or not, whether the mids were smooth etc, LS 3/5, 蔡 琴 , anyone?.)
The holy grail of the perfect equipment was being able to identify the sweet spot, and also recreating the sound stage of the original music recordings (using only 2 channels). There were some equipment that can do it, like the MBL, and some mid end stuff like Linn, B& W. But those can easily cost hundred of thousands to millions of dollars.
Sim Wong Hoo is a self proclaimed non-audiphile. He also didn' t like headphone before. Me too. His super xi-fi invention was to recreate a different sound PRESENTATION, so that headphone become LISTENABLE. Not so much for the quality of the headphone sound. That can perhaps leave to Sonus Faber, or Linn, or Senheisser, Sony etc. When these audiphile equipment makers adopt the Creative X-Fi chip, the sound would even be better.
I believe Creative Tech is working towards that (thats what the search of OEM is all about). And also pre-installing the Super X-Fi chip into some handphone and laptops and PCs.

Wearing a donkey-like headpiece (more than just an ear piece) and moving around is not something everyone will do, and lying in bed witih one is uncomfortable.
This is not the same as sound blaster card, which was auto-installed in every PC that rolled out the plant in the past, and which  spiraled Creative to $50 and more.
I dont bear much hope in this, the hype will fade away with time.
Creative should invent one that is equal good as super x-if, and one that can be embedded in every mobile phone, then there is hope of seeing $50 again.

Yes.  Yrs back, they were at UIC Bldg.  Used to run a small record library too before the advent of digi audio.  I helped my friend loan records from them a few times.

Did you buy from Atlas Hi-Fi? I used to go there. Later after they shifted from Robinson rd to Plaza Sing, I visited less often.

I think I paid $599 (not sure now - memory fading).  I recall trying to buy direct from US (listed at 399 USD, if I recall correctly).  But after calculating all the extras (like shipping, taxes, insurance, etc) I figured it wasn' t worth the trouble !!!!

Bro, how much did you fork out for the Bose AM5?
Qanghoo ( Date: 28-Mar-2019 17:13) Posted:

One speaker set I have is the Bose AM5.  I first heard it in the 1980' s, abt 30 yrs ago.  I bought mine in 2011 n I' m still enjoying music from it.  The product itself is still being sold today.  That is the kind of sustainability I' m referring to.  Can the x-fi match this kind of longevity?  In my view, " no" .
Bose AM5 is not high end, but for me good enough to be able to resonate crisp highs n deep base, although the negative is, whether its base is satisfactory or not depends on where one is standing relative to the subwoofer.  Still, I' d give it a B+ in terms of enjoyment, bearing in mind that one man' s meat is another' s poison.  I can' t say the same of the xfi.  Others might not agree, it' s ok.  Time will tell though .....

Tempted to join the shortlists.
But then afraid that Sim is luring them in to kill them, which he had done that quite a few times over the past half a year or so.
