UE building up!

WHy you hope Samling wins? They can pay better value? If price stays around 2.65, how to offer 3.65?

 

Fingers crossed. 😂 hope samling wins. Samling has the necessary expertise to grow United Engineers further. Seen their performances and capability. Very well backed. Good.

I think the buyer has finalised. And the price finalised too. They probably just waiting for price to stable then announce. Ocbc, credit suisse and the buyers are all professionals. They cant be so draggy about this. Wearnes deal and Robinsons deal went quite fast to Samling and Al Futtaim respectively isnt it?

I wonder why is it taking so long? Hope to hear updates soon...Maybe Price war now. Wonder who will emerge the buyer. Samling? KKR? Mulpha? Ascendas Singbridge? Perennial?

 

I also think something will transpire by end may and shouldnt drag any further...though if it drags, the only thinf I can think of is KKR. KKR SG HQ staff said acquisitions are made by the top mgmt in New York and that none are based here. So because of time difference, offer and counter offer can take 2 days per price? Possible? Scenario: If KKR on 25th May in NY at 11 am gives offer, it will be 11 pm in sg and malaysia. The other sg / malaysian bidders can only counter offer on 26th May. Then KKR can only respond on 27th May? Lol...

The offer shld be out this end May ......what causes the delay to Jun?
Not as many parties as GLP in this one.

I think it' s not flushing. It is a sign of BB trying to establish a lower, more favorable weighted average price to convince minority shareholders that they are getting a higher premium when a general offer is made. In a way it is a good sign they are preparing the ground. Be extra patience.

Buyer / Buyers def still there. In my honest opinion it could be still in renegotiations. Ocbc wants probably a bit higher and the buyers are relooking at their finances to see how much further they can stretch. Makes no sense for ocbc to not update. If things not looking positive, it will already be declared....no point to hold. Sgx have regulations and ocbc must announce one...ocbc wont want to tarnish their reputation as wishy washy right? It will only cause their shares of theirs and subsidiaries to plumment when investors confidence in them drop.

Frankly, I buy not because I' m expecting the takeover deal to firm up soon. Everybody has been waiting, so I guess a few more months is still probable. Importantly, the deal must happen and I' m hoping for a 20% profit. More hope, less analysis. Win more, lose less.

Wow, 341,000 blocking at 2.68 ? " Someone" key in wrong figure ?

 

Ok, so I called up KKR sg office. The staff said KKR Sg DOESNT handle acquisitions and takeovers. They are only done by the HQ in New York. And added that they are always based overseas....so the deal might take longer to materialise since its long distance and time difference....it also means that all KKR investments are made by the HQ. There are many companies KKR are now involved. Will they even focus on this UEL? Do they have time to? Hmmm. Wondering about it....

I think if there is bidding war, between the final 2 finalists (most likely Samling and KKR), it will still take time and the deal may not materialise that fast....just saying....this deal needs alot alot of patience. As gotta wait very long based on what I just found out. (Not insider news though.) Wanna know what I found out?

 

I also think this week might hear some news. Final bids given in end march 2017. Maybe a bit off ocbc target tgen renegotiate till price war. 2 mths since end march have passed. So can start to monitor again. Hold on to your shares. Patience will reap harvests.

Yes, I also have inner gut feeling something will be released soon. The final bids werr handed in by end march. Now its close to end may. Almost 2 months. Something should be brewing. I think it smells good. Even for herbal soups, need time to boil, and re boil before the fragrance, essence, taste and nutrition will be released into the soup. Only then it will be good for the body. We dont go for diluted. We go for standard. If the price wasnt good and negotiations fall through, ocbc would have stopped the process. So lets pray and enjoy the delicious outcome (hopefully) :)

Credit suisse offices, require appt otherwise you may not enter. Dont think they will whisper anything as no insider trading / info is allowed. Lol
