Guys, found this article very interesting,
[SINGAPORE] As they put the nightmare of the global financial crisis behind them, high net worth individuals are turning positive on equities and buying them again. But they are not really participating in the " great rotation" - Wall Street's hypothesis of a once-in-a-generation bond sell-off - to pay for riskier equity assets  say seven private banks  interviewed by The Business Times.
The majority of clients he surveyed are positive on equities now, he said.  " But if you ask how they're investing, they still haven't implemented their strategy. So it's a slow move back in. If we get three quarters in a row of good news, then they'll come rushing  back."
Pray tomorrow EGM meeting has a major Boomz. Big Cheers
  Huat Ah !!!
Halleluyah,
You mentioned you short CF nearly lost money but before mkt closes, you managed to get some kopi $$$. You very pro know when to pull back.  The number of shorts also has gone down last Friday.
Seniors, please share your view so we can learn or know how it works. What is tomorrow EGM about ? How does it chart CF going forward ?
Hi Starlene, I remember Halleluyah asked for your prediction.
" Peru's Copeinca Vulnerable to China Fishery Takeover - J.P. Morgan" by Blanchard.
Question :- It is pretty obvious that looking at all circumstances, China Fish has strategically positioned themselves well in acquiring Copeinca and tomorrow is the EGM and nearer to the Ex-rights. The interest of the majority shareholders and  those who want to have a stake in CF  outweight the number of speculators, (shortsellers). Halleluyah, how would the last day $0.57/0.575 ? I would love that to happen {on the last day} to BUY more ..

- Does not seem to make sense ?
- Someone told me, just like Olam after the saga by Muddy Water, after the ex-rights the price went up and is poise to recover further.

Hey Halleluyah,
This is one forum that is so enriching, can you imagine going to class room to hear all the knowledge. Over here is on the job, lesson and learning first hand from you, season veterans. Thank you
Please share your thoughts, guess through YOUR SHARING more are being enRICH

Peru's Copeinca Vulnerable to China Fishery Takeover - J.P. Morgan
Mar 15, 2013 (Dow Jones Commodities News Select via Comtex) --By Robert Kozak
Peru's Copeinca ASA, (COP.OS) the second biggest fishing company in the Andean nation, has a fragmented shareholder structure and is vulnerable to a takeover, J.P. Morgan Chase said.
China Fishery Group Ltd. (CIFHY) has launched a public offer for Copeinca's common shares, a bid worth 551 million, the bank said in a report late Thursday.
The largest shareholder, Dyer Coriat Holdings, is opposing the takeover, saying the offer is a lowball bid.
J.P. Morgan said Dyer Coriat has a 32.6% stake in Copeinca, followed by Ocean Harvest with 13.9%, Euroclear Bank with 11.3% and an investment fund held by the Dyer Coriat Investors with 5.96%.
" The remaining stakes are very fragmented with most investors holdings less than 1.4%. Therefore, technically a deal could go forward without the agreement of Dyer Coriat," the bank said.
J.P. Morgan says that China Fishery has already secured 41.5% in positive indications, such as pre-sold shares or binding agreements.
Peru's rich fishing grounds make it the world's largest producer of fishmeal, which is exported to China, Germany and a number of other nations. The fishmeal, used in part as a high-quality animal feed, is made mainly of anchovy.
Copeinca officials say their company is worth up to 1.1 billion, and said Thursday the company is looking at all options, including soliciting interest from potential alternative bidders.
It added that " interesting dialogues have already been established with potentially interested parties attracted by Copeinca's leading operational platform and market position."
Peru's Credibolsa SAB, which is handling the public share purchase offer, said in a published statement that the offer is open until April 15.
Copeinca said it " strongly advises shareholders to refrain from taking any action in respect of their shares in Copeinca which may be prejudicial to their interests."
Separately, South Korea's Dongwon Group has reportedly made an offer to purchase Peru's Pesquera Diamante, a leading fishing company.
.. signal more good coming ....

Thank you all Seniors for your sharing.
Halleluyah is right, " Dun wait till last dy incase BBs play funny." Just the other day I was lamenting that the stock is trading in a tight range and today it just gallop faster than I thought. If only ...... now I understand why people short the market. Just a wishful thought, please short the market so I can get in ..... Haha
Come to think about it, shortists are very pro and cool, know when to do it. It takes a lot of courage and experience to be able to know how to execute it. Can't imagine shorting and the market shoot up, honestly don't know what to do ....   Kudos to those people who sell short.
As for me, I better learn how to crawl which is long ...
I like what Serialain  said " let's pray there 's something cooking in the corporate boardrooms to have a major boomz soon"   Huat Ah !!!
Maybe over time... there might be interested parties attracted  by China Fish's leading operational platform and market position... who knows? Just a mental indulgence...

Haha dude your thinking aloud thoughts are funny, chill out for a bit! I am just a noob myself and my opinion may not give you the reassurance you need but this is my read. What starlene is saying is nearer to the deadline aka XR date, for people to buy shares with the rights issue attached, there will be a flurry of investor activity to buy this stock in order to get the rights issue (based on starlene's previous observations of this stocks activity). This represents an opportunity to sell if you want to make a small profit. However typically after XR date, most stock prices will tend to drop because there will be a dilution of shares, hence EPS will decrease. This is why I think there are people taking short positions on this stock. How much this stock will drop no one knows, but one can predict using theory. Assuming the price is $0.58, it should drop to about $0.46 [(0.58+0.34)/2].
Assuming you took the rights issue, if stocks drops to about $0.50, you will also make money because the average price you bought the share would be lower than that. So you can also sell once you can trade your rights issued stocks.
So then we have this issue of the acquisition, for me I am hoping it will take place, and the offer ends somewhere in April if I am not wrong. Because if it does happen, the price will shoot up like crazy as it is a good deal for China Fishery. Then we can all huat together. If it doesn't, the company's coffers will be boosted, one of the issues with China Fishery is its poor liquidity, so in that case there may be a return of investor confidence, as well as market coverage from the M & A deal, and long term price will also increase. Either way we win because we bought at a low price.
In short, don't worry about the swing traders, and the shortists, have confidence in your analysis, and lets pray there's something cooking in the corporate boardrooms to have a major boomz soon!
P.S: please correct me if anything I said is wrong as I am still learning too!
Why would anyone wants to short the market when it is so near to ex-right ? Halleluyah. Sorry, is it true that Short Position will be covered on the 20 March 2013 ? I'm trying to understand the length and breadth of this market, how is behave ? With knowledge from you, Seniors I hope I am doing the right thing. Cheers
Like I said I am not selling for sure, if it goes down further I will buy more to keep.
Starlene is right.
Can you imagine, it must have been careful planning by China Fish to acquire Copeinca,  Peru's No. 2 fish exporter to be the World Largest Fish Exporter. Either which way is good for CF buying a undervalued and profitable company.
Mostly importantly the company is sound,  " The credit agency Fitch Ratings has affirmed its BB- rating on China Fishery Group and removed it from its negative rating watch, saying no major deterioration or improvement is expected in the next 12 months.
The decision reflects Fitch’s assessment that China Fishery –  the fishing subsidiary of Pacific Andes International Holdings –  ”is not likely to suffer imminent substantial losses in its contract supply operations in Russia”, said Fitch."
Look  like I will keep the stock for good. Thanks to all the seniors

Could it be the wall for CF sell is really hollow. It appears that the past few days there is no short sell trades because most of them are keeping for rights. If that being the case then the sell wall is hollow or weak. But again if I'm a buyer why would i want to push the price up ... makes no sense. Maybe to cater for the fall when it ex rights. Man ... this is complex .... urgh .... whatever I am in the queue right now, naturally I prefer it to fall ..... hehe
