It's moving, maybe anticipating good results.
last year result out on 19 Feb.
Seems to have lots of buying these one week, maybe waiting for results to come out.
had a nice rally recently but pretty much a pump and dump unfortunately. still believe that there is deep value to the stock with good fundamentals but we need to respect the players of the capital market

Results should be out in mid Feb. Expect a very good set of result.
Current p/e for SingMedical is only 11.7 X
I think both companies, SOG n SingMedical are good for long term investors.
Both are more or less in the same type of business. When one come down,
the other also come down and vice versa.

smg' s fcf of 4.7m is generated fr financing activities at the 9-mth mark. If you exclude this, it has only 0.2m fr its net operating & investing activities. You can' t pay meaningful dividends
fr. this unless you borrow. Having said this, I want to say that smg can be a growth co. worth watching if its rev. can overun its goodwill paid & high expenses overseas. Of course, you
' ve to confirm this with its cashflow & other key figures.     wyeo

hi sir, with reference to 9MFY19 results, SMG generated $17.3m operating cash flow (9MFY18: $10.5m) while FCF was also positive at $4.7m.
i believe every company has its own investment proposition and merits for the simple comparison of shareholding structure, SOG and SMG are vastly different. SOG is a pure SG play at the end of the day while SMG has CHA as their largest shareholder, and also a strategic one. the overseas footprint may be small presently but Vietnam is a promising geography and the ultimate catalyst will obviously be CHA making their moves.
CHA invested in SMG through placement at 50c, bought vendor shares from chairman and ceo at 60.5c and converted their shares at 43c. all those figures are way above where the stock is trading at presently. during this period, SMG has continued to deliver on their financial numbers (so far at least), in line with analysts' consensus.
with PATMI at its highest ever, share price is trading at less than half of its peak of ~72c. PE multiple has compressed to just ~12x FY20 while peers continue to trade at mid 20s.
nobody knows if or when the price discovery process will happen but one thing is for sure, SMG is undervalued relative to other SGX-listed private healthcare specialists yet delivers one of the highest PATMI figure on an absolute basis (apart from maybe TalkMed) at a FY level. lets hope the sector as a whole gets the re-rating it deserves and everyone can get a small angpow in the new year.

The wave of this company will goes for at least few months
There was some accumulation even before Wuhan virus break up, now is only W1.

After minusing out purchase of equipment etc, sog has a fcf of about 7.9m at the 9mth record, more than enough to pay its usual yr-end dividend, not yet counting the usual 4q positive cashfl.
You cannot say the same of smg. They need to borrow to pay dividends. That' s why they pay no dividend until now unlike sog which pay every yr since its IPO.     wyeo

smg grew its rev. the last three years mainly bec. of acquisitions. But look at the high expenditures of oversea cos. & the goodwills paid. Then you' ll understand why it has negative free cashflow if
you minus out the bank borrowing. For yields, I' ll stick to sog.     wyeo.

Bro another great recommendation! What else are you looking at??

indeed, but at least it has a profitable business model rather than some loss making ' medical' plays!
catch sentiment....need to think too hard, fren?

At current price of 35 cts, the trailing p/e is only 13 X. Too cheap for healthcare
stock. P/e may be even lower if they report another good set of results, which is likely.
Just my view, Dyodd.
