Shortists keep on spouting their talk, unfortunately, management is not helping.

Good opportunity to collect cheap.

Better stay sideline until REX management improve their transparency and sincerity to release Profit guidance. As now estimated 1H22 will be lost for $20 to 25M. Awaiting REX to clarify.

Since Jun production halted for Oman....and based on roughly average Brave at 3000b/d. I appeal to REX to give profit guidance (All pls write together to IR as petition) of 1H22. It could be 90% clarity by now. Thanks.

Dear KM The Company takes its fiduciary responsibilities as a listed company seriously and has always strived to provide transparent and timely information on the Group?s strategy, business activities and financial performance via SGXNet and on the Company?s website. We wish to clarify that all along, information relating to Block 50 in Oman has to be cleared by the Ministry of Energy and Minerals of Oman before issuance. It is unfortunate that the clearance of information regarding the production and drilling campaign in Block 50 Oman took longer than usual, hence our press releases on 20 June and 23 June 2022. Unforeseen operational issues during production are not uncommon and the Group is making every effort to resolve these and will keep the market updated of progress. Thanks. Best regards, Investor Relations Department Rex International Holding Limited

Rex frontloaded the replacement & maintenance of Yumna' s production infra. But I think Rex may still be profitable for 1H22. (Note: I wrote to Rex IR on this for guidance)
For 2H22, there are these announced developments:
1) Yumna production recovery to ...?
2) Brage' s 3 drilled wells in 2021 coming into production 2H. When?
3) Lime' s confirmed acquisition may be earnings accretive (announced with appointment of ABG Sundal Colliers asa)?
4) Lime' s drilling and Oman' s two well (Yumna east/Khufai and exploration well)
any others...?
There' s also macroeconomics and geopolitic factors.
DYODD.

According to Rex report, the $80m costs were for Q1 and Q2.
Here are the trends comparing to Q3 and Q4 last year. (not sure the M& A impact though...and how much will be capitalzied for future depreciation)
The company didn' t bother to give any comment to give us comfort which in my view was not a good sign.

21Q3  $6.1m
21Q$  $12.4m
22Q1 Actual: $44.9m
22Q2 Forecast $35.3m

Given the nature of these expenditures, it is highly unlikely it will go back to FY21 level in 22H2 so quickly.
You can make your guess what those numbers will be like and do a projection for full year FY22....

In my view, Rex is facing serious challenges in 3 fronts this year:    P& L due to volume damages and one off costs, Cashflow due to dividend and all these new costs and shareholder confidence crisis.
I held Rex for 2 years and had taken some damage control actions myself... sigh.

The 80M is full year expenses for FY21, right? If right, then 1H is still profitable as both sets of your calculation already accounted the production costs of Yumna & Brage
