So when he say his prediction is very accurate at the surge and decline level .It make sense in the way due to fear and greed from that spread.

The way or time he lose is when BB is going against him and you will never see him trading against market. The larger his group get , the more power influence in market like Singapore as generally Sg market are weak in being manipulated.

A nice run-up to $0.65, accompanied by good volume. This is especially special considering the overall poor market condition.

Short-term, I guess it is not easy to get past the $0.66/0.67 region, unless there is some significant events behind the scene.

Incidentally, TH has also been increasing its stakes in its subsidiary listed CSC via a series of warrant purchases lately (and exercising them) so much so that their stakes in CSC has increased from 28% to about 47%.
Maybe they can packaged both companies up for sale as a whole.

Hmm my bad - Ng family are majority shareholders, not just controlling shareholders. Interesting writeup from back in 2014.

DELIST OFFER?

Tat Hong Holdings (SGX: T03) has tested the market for a sale in the past
couple of years, three industry sources said. It has most recently held talks w ith
private equity firms in an effort to go private, the first industry source noted.
Southeast Asia&rsquo s largest crane rental company had engaged boutique advisory
firm Rippledot, who sent out information memoranda (IM) dated November 2013 to
gauge interest, the first industry source said.

Rippledot declined comment on the IM, the mandate, and Tat Hong&rsquo s rumored desire
for a sale, but a source familiar w ith the situation noted that the firm has a close
relationship w ith Tat Hong Group CEO Ng San Tiong Roland, w ho is w illing to
engage w ith investors w ho are genuinely interested.

Affinity Equity Partners had earlier show n interest in Tat Hong, but did not
proceed further. Affinity had put together an offer that valued Tat Hong at SGD 1.3
per share w hich translates into an equity value of SGD 834m (USD 669.39m),
according to a document seen by this new s service.
Another private equity firm may have submitted an indicative bid for Tat Hong last
w eek, the first industry source said, w ithout elaborating further.
Affinity declined to comment. Tat Hong did not reply to an email requesting
comment, and a spokesperson said the company is in a quiet period ahead of its
results release on Friday.

Tat Hong management believes its grow th potential is not reflected in its current
stock price. The company&rsquo s share price has been beaten dow n due to the poor
performance of its Australian business, said the first industry source. According
to Tat Hong' s w ebsite, the slow dow n of mining and LNG-related infrastructure
activity in Australia led to w eaker demand for specialized transportation services.
This situation, as w ell as the completion of projects in Malaysia and Papua New
Guinea, resulted in a 15.5% decline in revenues in FY14.

Tat Hong&rsquo s shares last closed at SGD 0.845. It booked SGD 684.08m in revenues
and reported SGD 1.57tn of total assets for the 12 months ending 31 March 2014.
Tat Hong has existing net debt of SGD 586.4m or almost 4.5x LTM EBITDA. SGX
peers include Sin Heng Heavy Machinery, Tiong Woon Corporation Holding
and Hiap Tong Corporation, according to a research report by Phillip Capital.
Tat Hong&rsquo s business nature as a leasing company also leaves it susceptible to
interest rate increases, the second industry source noted. He pointed to
Catermas, a much smaller peer w ith SGD 22m revenues last year, w hich w as
also on the market but having difficulty finding a buyer. Mergermarket reported last
year that a sale process for Catermas had been run by Pw C on behalf of the
founder w ho w as seeking an exit.
The source dow nplayed the effect of interest rates on the business, and said Tat
Hong is more affected by exposure to various geographies, especially in relation
to infrastructure and exploration projects.

Last month, Tat Hong sold a 70% stake in Hup Hin Transport, the Singaporebased
lorry transport services firm, to Hup Hin Capital for about SGD 20.6m. In
June 2014, Tat Hong also sold its entire stake in Kian Ho Bearings Ltd to Raffles
United Pte Ltd, for about SGD 17.2m of purchasing value.
When asked if the non-core divestments meant Tat Hong has unlocked value and
is done w ith M& A for the time being, the source familiar said this is not necessarily
the case.

Tat Hong&rsquo s majority ow ner is the Ng Family via Chw ee Cheng & Sons Pte Ltd
w ith a 35.26% stake as of 17 June 2014. The Ng family holds an aggregate 54.8%
stake. Private equity firm AIF ow ns 8.5%, leaving the free float at 37%.
Tat Hong has subsidiaries in Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, Vietnam, Hong Kong,
Macau, Papua New Guinea, Australia and China.

Any buyer will have to convince the controlling shareholders (40%+) to part with their stakes, so if it does go through it won' t be a lowball offer. All depends on whether the controlling shareholders want to sell.

That said, since the controlling shareholders don' t appear to have an outright majority, the downside to not them rejecting an offer is that they might potentially face a situation where there is another controlling shareholder in their family business, or worse, a majority shareholder.

If the potential buyer goes ahead to make an offer and the controlling shareholders don' t throw their weight behind it, there could be a competitive situation on the cards.

Odds are good on this one. If you noticed, the announcement today was titled " Holding Announcement" , so there is probably more information to come soon.

NAV S$1. Should be some US /Jap MNCs or some hedge funds interested in this world number 2 in many aspects in this segment.

There could be potential acquisition of Tat Hong Holdings by another party but nothing is carved in stone yet. Tat Hong' s share price has risen by close to 25% on announcement of this news today. If an investor were to buy Tat Hong Holding' s shares now, it is a bet that Tat Hong Holdings will eventually be acquired by another party. But based on their announcement, discussions are still preliminary. If a potential acquisition does really happen down the road and within a year' s time frame, an investor who bought into the shares of Tat Hong Holdings as of today may potentially earn huge returns within a year' s time frame since NAV of Tat Hong Holdings is around $1 per share. So the acquisition share price for Tat Hong Holdings' shares still have further room to be negotiated at higher price than current traded price of $0.61. This means further potential upside for the share price of Tat Hong Holdings. As of now, the immediate returns today just after announcement is already close to 25%.

However on the flipside, if the discusssions do not go through, it could also mean the share price may fall back to its previous level before the announcement was made. To take the bet or not now, it really depends on how big is the stomach for the potential risk vs potential reward. No right and wrong here. It is solely based on one' s take whether one thinks this acquisition of Tat Hong Holdings will materialise. As more and more positive announcements are made in future on this news by the company, the chance of the acquisition happening become higher. As of now, it is still preliminary to make a judgement call.
