When buying stocks, if your buying decisions are based on" insiders' information or rumours" and not sound analysis, then you are gambling. Many investors enter the market when stocks prices are high (lacking of confidence to enter beforehand when prices were low). Once the stocks market crash, they tend to sell out their shares out of fear and pessimism, swearing to " chop off their fingers" and never enter the stocks market again. If such situation happens, all their previous gains may be wiped out and suffered a loss.
Investing is an art and highly emotional and subjective. Subjectivity is largely controlled by our emotions. There are times when we are optimistic or pessimistic. If we are unable to control our emotional weakness, we are unlikely to become successful investors.
To be successful, you must first understand yourself, in particular your emotions and the degree of pressure you can tolerate.
The investors should also analyse the country' s economic prospects together with the earnings outlook of the major listed companies.
It is imperative that you like Mathematics as the sound mathematical knowledge plays a key role in investment.

Just long the Dow or sp500 or even the nasdaq and you will be rewarded... ... there are two etf on SGX that track the Dow and the sp 500.
if these had existed some forty years ago, we would have 4000% gains already.
can go biking and forget about SGX which is a pennies stock market. Dun believe, count the number of non pennies in SGX.... I did that a few years back and was shocked by the number... maybe now got a little more, but I dun remember counting even up to fifty... ...

US?? Ten years back the Dow was 11000-12000. Now? Almost 30,000...

This is her Daily Chart.
A previous resistance-turned-support level can be found at around $1.25.
If she can find support at this region and bottoms out and U-Turn back up and this triggers shortcovering by shortists and follow-through buying by
bargain hunters, then we may get a good bounce. But whether a recovery rebound or just a technical dead cat bounce remains to be seen. But if
this former resistance-turned-support fails to hold, it will trigger the stop loss of traders and short term investors. The next meaningful support, which
is another previous resistance-turned-support is at $1.00. Of course it wont be a good sign if she goes there. So the next chapter of this story is
important. Does she want to do a
BLUE line ? Or
RED line ? Hearing continues...
