LOL, complete silence. How long does it take to verify cash in bank???
The silence from the management and IDs is not acceptable. According to an article on The Edge, CFO was not very friendly when asked for an update. On the other hand, the CEO called this " an internal matter" which he could not disclose any further information. Where is the transparency? I wonder how SIAS gave them the transparency award.
I must say that most CFOs of listed Chinese companies are not doing their job properly.
They park themselves in Singapore while the operations are in China. They do not have first hand review of the invoices and contracts. They do not pick their finance people. They do not meet the bank people. And the worst is that they do not even approve/authorize/control payments.
If they do their CFO work diligently, they will be able to detect the problems early. Unfortunately, they do not dare request for authority in case the bosses fire them. These CFOs are more public relation officer rather than CFOs.

Awarded china corp also default bond...how to believe china company....whether they are cash rich..minerals rich ..water rich or even contract rich....i will avoid all...even they got singaporean ceo or cfo.....just play singapore corp will do...

If armed robbery of a few hundred dollars will be subjected to canning, can we introduce canning for crooked CEO / management that " robs" hundred of millions from helpless retail investors.
Also, the IDs and CFO will have to take responsibility for such problems since they are supposedly the guardians for the helpless retail investors.
If this happens in China, the Chinese government will step in and arrest senior management, and put the company immediately under judicial control with the view to preserve the assets. I hope SGX can do more.
CEO already cannot explain where is the monies... that is y ppl suspend his position.

We have over 30 suppliers for each season and production order to each supplier may not be sizable. These suppliers produce for top international brands. We pay them deposits upfront in order to secure their services and to get priority treatment.
It is also important to retain sufficient cash reserves in case of unforeseen contingencies caused by external factors that can turn into a drastically challenging economic environment. In recent years, we have seen what severe financial crisis can do.
