Bro, this thing abt the DVD-R business has struck me each time I reat  it in SM' s docs.  But I had not given it much thought until u mentioned it.  Actually, I think it' s still big business when u look at it in relation to their annual turnover of > 150mil SGD (here, we can get 1 dual-layer piece at < 50c if we buy in bulk).  I suppose in places like the PRC n other countries  where the internet speed n infrastructure are not as advance, DVDs as a storage n playback medium is still a cheap n reliable alternative.  If I' m not mistaken, even in Australia, they may not yet have a nation-wide fibre broadband backbone like we have here.  So, it may be a few yrs more before we discard SM from our radar screens if they continue  in the same core business.

Bro, the product line does not seem to excite, they' re still into discs when ppl now moving into streaming. And their hunger for fund raising put off ppl.    I checked they did rights issue, and placements, quite greedy for money, these people.  Perhaps that' s why price never move much.

Result kinda disappointing.  On top of that, no div declared.  Maybe that' s why share px performance below par.

Yep, there was a 1 for 2 last yr.  There were also a number of placements over the last few yrs.  I suppose it' s not just the rights that was a put-off.  It cld be due to the low div payout as well (worse, this yr kosong).  U come after shareholders for money, but u are not willing to share the fruits with them.  That may be the double sore point.  Aftrer all, they are still doing very well, earing > 1.7 spore cts a share, nothwithstanding that last yr was better.  Now, they are gonna consolidate their shares 20 into 1.  With NAV > 35 spore cts now, post-consolidation the NAV becomes > 7 SGD.  Seems becoming a joke to me this consolidation business.  Oh! if there' s anything to cheer abt .... there' s also gonna be a 1 for 10 bonus issue, post-consolidation.  Looks meagre to me though n I don' t think it' s gonna move the share px much.

many penny stocks have moved up., Swing Media should do the same when the results are announced at the end of the month. At 0.05, it should be very safe to accumulate.

This one results always seem OK, but px like forever south-bound.  So, let' s not waste time with this stock.  In fact, better for it to delist n give shareholders back cash of 30c+ per share.  SGX just want to add it to their numbers that' s all.

Very quiet. The full year results  to be announced end of the month will likely be positive. Buy when it is still cheap.

This is one of the cheapest, perhaps the cheapest, stock listed here in terms of NAV support.  Even cheaper than Pacific Andes.  PE also very very low.  Liability also so little only.  Somehow, I think HK coys listed here very discipline (same for Valuetronics).    But share px swoon.  At least Valuetronics got a lot of followers.  SM real pathetic.  But of course Valuetronics famouse dividend-paying stock whereas SM still some way  behind in dividend terms.  Results shd be out around same time as Valuetronics.

Half year result: Earning per share (half year): 0.9 c (Sing), NAV: 0.34c (Sing), Cash and cash equivalent: 2c/ share

If the Earning for full year is consistent, the full year earning could be 1.8c which is equivalent of PE of 2.7. The standard PE is 10~15x. Furthermore, the current price is a huge discount to its NAV (0.05 vs 0.34). It' s cash is equivalent to 2c/share.

Unfortunately, the share price doesn' t seems to be in synch with the fundamental. If it is in accordance with the fundamental of 10~15x, the price should be at least 0.18c (which is still way below it' s NAV). Let' s see if the FY result is as good as the half year result
