Definitely it will. plus even if they get funding, the ministry of Commerce of China will be very very unlikely to approve their aggressive oversea M& A given the clouds over HNA corruption and financial irregularities.

From Bloomberg

Banks That Funded HNA' s $40 Billion Spending Spree Halt New Loans
will this affect the deal ?
It is more than just loss-making.
It is about systemic corruptions and irregularities: share-holders' $ and public funds are transfered into personal pockets...
That is the last conmpany on earth you want to touch ...

Haha that why I call it a gambling games.
For me I prefer a more stable stock to invest.
You win lesser a bit rather than lost in the investment.
Further more HNA guo wengui seem like having case in corruption.

1. China is tightening control of oversea M& A to fight capital flight, among other things
2. There are unofficial reports: HNA group is involved in   huge corruptions + financial scandals -> the CWT M& A will not happen.

Just my view.
Apr 7 price at 2.07 ( open close)
Take over new of 2.33
Apr 10 price at high 2.28 (close 2.26)
Due to China banking regulator external financing may not available on 22 Jun.
Price drop from 2.27 to 2.15 as HNA may no has the fund.
If buyout fail OCBC research fair value only at $1.95
Current price 2.11 if you buy
Success = 2.33 - 2.11 profit 22 cts
Fail = 2.11 - 1.95 lost 16 cts

CWT Limited&rsquo s (CWT)  offeror, HNA Holding Group (HNA), recently provided an update that the anti-trust pre-conditions had been satisfied.
That said, before a formal voluntary general offer (VGO) can be made, there are two other preconditions to be fulfilled or waived: 1) there being no material adverse effect in relation to CWT&rsquo s fundamentals (can be waived by HNA), and 2) HNA shareholders to approve the acquisition at a general meeting (cannot be waived), for which two major shareholders of HNA with a combined stake of 66.8% have given undertakings to vote in favour of the acquisition.
While it seems a step closer to a VGO materializing, we advise investors to stay cautious as China banking regulator was also recently reported to be probing into overseas loans made to HNA Group, which we believe creates uncertainty over whether the deal will go through.
HNA stated that in the event external financing is not available, it will finance the acquisition solely through an interest-free unsecured fund to be provided by HNA Group&rsquo s associates.
All said, with no visibility over the outcome of the probe on HNA, it makes sense for shareholders to reduce their risk by selling part of their holdings in the market with risk-reward skewed to the downside (our  FV  on  CWT  without the deal is  S$1.95).

Those that sold recently are still worried about the financing capability of HNA...as there is an increase in china bank regulation....
But recently, HNA was disclosed by Bloomberg that they have pledged most of their shares holdings and get    funding of around 24 billion usd... I think it' s more than enough for CWT acquisition... just wait and see...6.4% for price $2.18 over 54 days... is it worth the bet?

Weird, the spread is bigger than GLP.
The higher price in their REIT arm, Cache Logs Trust is still at 93.5 to 94 Cts,.... the good prices there  recently has been because of the buyover of their sponsor, CWT ??
