Maybe a lot of people still cannot get out. Still having a lot of high target price set by Analysts or the people in this forum. So when they said buy, they keep buying and supporting the price.

Looking at all the " Fear - Factors" , I believe near term present a buying into " phases" period now.

There could be actual skirmish happened every now and then, but nobody want to escalate it further / Or allow thing to be out of hand.

It shall be " New Norm " , under the main 03 global powerhouse.

 

 

Let the mellanias break the 'pah pah'.will happen? Life is fair dude.

Despite the looming of "wars", US showing strength of forces began from Syria, follow by this weekend into Afghanistan to tackle ISIS, and the Korean Peninsula military buildup, markets are still absord the impact and with cautions.

STI for the week closed at 3169 Level, show an sign of declines, it might retract to 3110 shall for near term subject to global events. Outlook still show positive for STI to gear for 3215 level.

Sharksaurs      ( Date: 08-Apr-2017 15:01) Posted: STI had been rather modest yet showing postive sign for the charges going North ahead.  At the start of 2nd Q, it had position itself by finishing the week at 3177 Level despite the few events like Trump-Xi met up, DPKR ICBM issue and Mid-East Nerve Gas resulted a " short warning" , of Tomahawk firing into Syria by the US destroyer.  STI  mostly for the past 2 month had been in the range of 3125 to 3185,  Going forwards shall see 3215 soon. U look at the chart for most of the better fundamental companies. If u had bought at 52 weeks low just 2 mths ago, you would have earn at least 30% of profit.

So buy low, sell high is still a very valid statement.

Would u go and buy shares now where most of them are at 52 weeks high?

totally agree... buy undervalued good fundamental companies and wait.. but also must profit take if share price goes up la. :)

That's why I general favour value and income/yield stocks - you can simply tune out and ignore the noise and sabre-rattling and grab undervalued gems when these silly BBs play their games. It's a nimble free-loader strategy which has generally served me well.

When the BBs want to push down the market, any reason they can use to do that.. Syria, North korea, USA govt shutdown etc..

U go www.foxnews.com, www.cnn.com etc.. now talking about north korea nuclear war, syria war, USA govt shutdown, US FED unwinding of bonds  .. suddenly all the bad news appear.. I bet the BBs will make use of such " bad" news to push market down. Then u will start to hear analysts saying " a correction is due soon" , " Sell in May and go away" etc..

Incidentally the global growth, trade and political picture seems generally clear now except for the Koreas and far flung Syria. But what is bad for North and East Asia may benefit South East and South Asia due to rotational flows . Btw, I never trust Analysts either - hah.

Those Analysts who asked you to keep buying and then sell to you to get out of positions can be bad people also. No matter buy or sell have to do own due diligence.
