Last year the Axiata CEO also said the following in the interview:

He said most countries can afford to have three operators so there?s enough competition. In regards to Singapore?s plan to have a fourth wireless carrier, he said that would result in "one too many? players in that market
The plan for next five years is to build Axiata into a ?digital generation" company
He?s looking to expand the number of telecom towers in Asean and South Asia to 26,000 from 16,000 within three years and to eventually IPO the assets
He?s comfortable with Axiata?s debt levels being 2.5 times earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization
Despite management guiding for lower earnings in 2016, he?s confident 2017 will be a different story. Axiata will probably post 2.03 billion ringgit ($496 million) in net income for 2016 and 2.31 billion ringgit in 2017, according to the average analyst estimate compiled by Bloomberg.

Axiata owns 100% Calcom Malaysia if they own 100% M1. It is possible for them to offer common SIM for Singapore and Malaysia users. Hah

Sell but who will buy? Lol. Don't think until so easily for M&A. I think company buy SingTel shares then buy M1 shares. Plus got potential 4th telecom, it will be a super fierce fight. I think 90% M1 and StarHub will lose market share so their share price plunge. Let's see next few months on the development ba

About TPG

Last year, the company was priced as if its recent growth could continue forever. However, after a near 50% fall in just six months, the share price is more reflective of its likely future, which could include slower profit growth.

Indeed, despite the realisation that TPG cannot grow to the stars, I think the valuation of its shares has improved enough to make it a must-have on watch lists. Its shares also offer a handy 2.4% fully franked dividend yield.

I am not vested. I hold M1 stocks 1-2 years back but sold all already when I earn few k profit. Nevertheless i am a M1 customer. :) but might be changing to SingTel. See how, contract Apr end.

Anyway, I think you abit bullish on many things. U posted in bank stocks or O&G stocks and set high target price etc. Where are the share price now? Sometime we need to be more realistic.

The reason why all want to sell M1 shares are maybe because M1 not doing well or the companies in need of money. Dividends did cut last year right? Profit keep dropping. But I believe it will reach a fair value soon, but is not above 2 dollar unless got some companies willing took over at high price. And I really curious who will buy M1

M1 classify as infrastructure share, meaning institiutions benchmark their return with government bond 2%  pluse a bit more.   M1 yield around 5-6% still have enough head room.   takeover deal could take place.

How The Big Players Manipulate The Stock Market

My observation, shorts try to wear down the longs by making sure that the share price closes down as many days in a row as they can put together. At the close of past few days, I witnessed volume dramatically increasing as the shorts tried to insure M1' s share price closed down. Shorts are hoping the longs frustration with the share price continuing downward will end up in capitulation where as many longs as possible just give up and sell their shares.

After last Friday&rsquo s news that M1 Ltd&rsquo s (M1) three substantial shareholders are conducting a strategic review of their respective stakes, M1&rsquo s share price has since risen 6.9% to close at S$2.17 yesterday. M1 also announced the same evening that there is no assurance any transaction will materialize from such review. All said, we are not ruling out the potential sale of the three substantial shareholders&rsquo combined stake of 61% as a result of the strategic review. In our view, if a sale does take place, M1&rsquo s valuation could be in the range of S$2.27-S$2.62 per share, based on EV/EBITDA multiple of 8-9x, applied to the average of M1&rsquo s FY17F and FY18F EBITDA. Without further clarity and not ruling out a potential takeover scenario, we incorporate a 30% probability of a takeover of M1 based on the average of 8-9x EV/EBITDA [i.e. (S$2.27+S$2.62) / 2=S$2.45], and 70% probability that no transaction materializes (i.e. S$1.75), we upgrade M1 to  HOLD  with a higher FV of S$1.96 (prev: S$1.75).
