The latest announced dividends is $0.71, does that means the dividends had dropped -35% from $1.10 to $0.71? Can someone confirm this understanding?
Dont forget there is a $2B stock BB to be use .....dyodd

Quarterly figures gives an indication of what's happening in the business.
A good example is the downtrend of the NIM.
A full year result is too long a timeline.

I prefer to look at full year and not focus too much on quarterly performances.

Cannot believe it. $4m across 6,000 employees mean average $666. So one month is $1300? So low pay?
The bank also announced that it will be providing its junior employees with an extra half-month base salary payout on a one-off basis, in recognition of their contributions amid a challenging external environment.
"This supplementary payout will be paid to about 6,000 employees across the Group in the second quarter of this year and will amount to a total of about S$4 million," said UOB.
Even the CEO report is so brief, and without any exciting outlook... I think they are looking quite gloomy...
I prefer to look at full year and not focus too much on quarterly performances.

It's been doing well since 1935.
No reason for it not to do well again.
The result shld be close to DBS

the hedge funds really make a killing from shorting this bank.
utterly ruthless

y-o-y net earnings drop by 23%, though q-o-q only drop 7%
and coupled with reduced dividends, reckon the mkt will not react positively to this set of results, not forgetting dj plunged by 800 over pts, it all brings a negative vibrs surrounding this bank.
