hyflux may not redeem as they are unlikely to able raise the money
How come it is already 26th March 18 and Hyflux havent annoucned if they are paying the dividend for April ?
Many retail investors bought into Hyflux and it is a water company backed by who you know.
Will it default ? What do you think?

The question is when will it yield? Hyflux currently can only dispose assets at huge book loss.

Ant idea when Tuaspring will be divested ?
Company did not say no redemption of Preference Shares just deferred until Tuaspring divestment is concluded. with the coupon yield for the Preference Shares stepping up from 6% to 8%.,This will cost at an additional $8 million per annum probably cheaper than tapping fund from banks.

The non-redemption was expected. But with the uplift in div to 8% the prefs should now move up. For anyone still with confidence in the company, now is a good time to pick up the prefs. At below 80, the running yield is over 10% plus there's a capital upside of 20%+ if redemption happens within the next 6-12 months. Total 30%+ return over 1 yr
When will they announce April payout ?

But who knows? Maybe instead of cash, they can also use these hyfluxshop shares to redeem the bonds too |
