OCBC GE didnt say offers to review by end March.

Only the media speculate "end Mar"

Dont be tricked by the media

You never know...if the price is right, they may even announce Acceptance of Offer on Valentine's Day

 

At belopw $3, I believe there are handful of traders and even funds in this buying to hold process, in view of the outcome. This is risk worth taking.

 

OUE Stephen Raidy may be interested. So Indonesian in. Thai although not mentioned, who knows? Maybe hidden suitor. End Mar will know.

Built Sembawang illiquid. These few weeks property counters keep going up. Many buy up OUE and Capitaland. Even counters like Ho Bee and HPL that see low volume also move.

At least 10 parties including regional property developers, private equity firms and real estate funds have indicated interest, people with knowledge of the matter had told Bloomberg, asking not to be identified because the information is private.

......wow the number of bidders is a surprise .....if this is true, do expect a fear battle for UE and eventual offer price.

 

Follow the advice of the announcement and exercise due care when dealing with the shares of UE at this period of time.

Remember, not too long ago regarding the take over of Temasek-owned Stats Chippac by a Taiwanese company. There were a series of Trading halts, and at time, very difficult to establish what is a fair value. In the end, the take-over price was much lesser than what the market had predicted. Therefore, please note. there are times when market is wrong.

Although I have already made my exit, I do hope those of you who are still holding will get a good price. Live to play another day, and more players will definitely make the market a better place.

UE, GEH and OCBC already announced only strategic studies and to practice caution when dealing with the shares of all 3 companies. Halt will be lifted on Monday.

 

I think it' s time to request to halt all these sporadic trading halt. Very disruptive, worse, it' s akin to being a cock-teaser!
