i think the recovery technically around resitance at 108, 118, 128 using fibo. thene ventually back to 160+ then around $2 (when novotel redevelopmetn is completed)
why i m opptimistic about recovery.
1. large proportion of their hotel are master lease with weighted ave lease expiry of 5+ years. ie short term dividend are affected but not like the current price justified it. current price is like it is going to close shop.
2. government lease of hotel rooms for qurantine purpose has help to cushion short term demand fall by a few months. giving more time to react.
3. improving situations in some of their hotel locations, australia, new zealand, japan
there are long terms factor why i favour hotels.

Dividend cut and loss profit is not a new expectation. Everyone know that. But STI will up. And whole market still fly. Why? All thanks to Our SG GOV for giving all the business and Singaporean 101% support and united.. Swee la. SINGAPORE

Much as it is nice to be forward-looking - suspect the market may be horrified by possibly large dividend cuts for the next few periods and also possibly losses despite Government support schemes in Singapore. This because a lot of their revenue now comes from overseas, and some of these countries may not be so supportive.  I suspect we have not seen the worst yet in terms of COVID.

Another one.. Far East H Trust.. NTA 86 cents. Now only 42 cents.. below 50%.. Same as CDL H, Hospitality Reits mostly local hotels.

Think the fear for REITS now is a cash call if they cannot tahan.  Best for hotel and retail REITS now is to cut staff.

This CDL is very strong. Alot holding at high price. Think won't be drop much further liao. Got good support. Virus will not last forever. Now alot of country had lockdown. Very good chance for rebounds after this. And alot of vaccine coming out soon or later. Hotel occupied by malaysian and Singaporean is high. And alot indo rich milliaorair now stay in Singapore Hotel. I will go for it at 20lot and hold until. Price back to 1.60. Huat Ah.

Think every day will get worse and worse news, and prices will trend down likewise. The share prices and selling are now beyond logic almost - given that most people do realise that this will be a one year occurrence and that a vaccine will be developed eventually.  But, now all the market knows is panic and fear - and those with loads of cash, are still paralysed by fear.

Anyone buying hospitality REITS? Was thinking that the latest messaging seems to me to be that travel curbs may be lifted soon, given the global spread.  Will this help?

I thought paying SGD100million more for a fresh 99 year lease and new hotel in Clark Quay was a pretty nifty deal.  I like the 2H dividend and the uplift in SGD Rev Par.  Hopefully Singapore benefits from the diversion of holiday and business traffic from the Wuhan bug prone areas like Hong Kong and China.  The bug may not survive too well in hot tropical climates.
