With the rights still trading until 9th July, still expecting a little lao sai. Long term wise 6mths-12mths should be able to take a decent profit.
The last time they did a rights issue was 2003.
They intend to use the SGD1bil proceeds to pay down 82% of the term loans of US$626 million drawn down to acquire a 24.9% interest in Siam City Cement Public Company in April. So they still have 370mil to shore up their balance sheet or make aquisitions?
I dont see their parent JSH selling any shares of JC& C and they will fully subscribe to the rights issue.
Probably they are also taking this chance to buy at a cheap valuation.. be patient!

been adding today.. but dunno when it is gonna bottom so staggered my buy.. but at current price, P/E is about 10-11, i would say the valuations are pretty safe now. Of course, JC& C is very much dependable on Astra and indonesian mkt. Indonesia economy is still weak..

Some resistance around 31.40-31.50 level will be good to pick up if it reaches there... make sure you get in before rebound tho.
Not too sure why its coming down also, company didnt announce anything. Price looks really attractive to purchase a few hundred. Long term sure go up one, ones it goes up it will bulldoze its way through

Yes, I think of buying some at $38 too for long term. Hopefully, their Indonesia business can perform better with the new government .
If break below 40, can consider entry at 38.9 level.
