I agree that there is impact on Valiance share price. BUT remember Swiber owns Valiance, not the other way round. Valiance cannot speak for Swiber.

The paycuts are foreseeable.. Any idea how much they are paid for the work they are doing? Specialised or what, every field has its own specialisation. But, the amount of money they are paying to ppl is ridiculous, even for entry levels. That is why, this industry is so fat and overvalued. everything is inflated, bottoms up. Once the customers do not like the price, everything has to go.. This is what is happening today. Nobody is willingly to pay for the oil at the old price.

 

There are quite a few Co' s gone bust because of the low oil prices in US.

Swiber is the first listed co. to go bust here there are many business already affected here.  Staff have been retrenched, relocated, paycut, no increments and later will be no or lower bonuses.  More to come...
