Once after the merger is approved they will remove the " blockage" , the share price will chiong... patience is the key... THIS FRIDAY IS THE EGM !!!

Next monday will see the " blockage" removed liao once merger approved..

1 more week to go... we waited a few mths already, just one more week to go... hold on tight... ESR will become ESR-Viva i think and share price should have no problem crossing 55 cents, then inch towards 60 cents by year end.

I hink the management wanted to  tell  that VIT attendee but cannot say out. :)

" We knew you will ask why offer price of 96 cents so low when share price is above $1 and u will not vote for merger if we allow the share price to rise due to the good news of merger, thats why the share price is purposely kept low so that you will vote for the merger hoping the  merger will cause a upward re-rating of the share price"

:) hahaha.. just my own personal opinion. Maybe market really dun like the merger?? who knows.

Today morning, Viva share price breaks 90 cents, 90 cents buy vs 90.5 cents sell queue., then SUDDENLY 1700 lots to sell at 90 cents appeared and prevented the share price from going beyond 90 cents. haha.. OBVIOUSLY someone dun want the share  price to rise. Why? Look at my explanation in the previous posting.

IF share price is trading  above  $1 now, the same VIT attendee who raise the question "   Why share price fell if the merger is touted to be so good ?" would have asked " Why offer price of 96 cents so low when share price is already above $1? "

:)

VIT unit holders are indeed discerning. One attendee raise a very valid question. Why share price fell if the merger is touted to be so good ?

Sponsor monetizing their property may not be a good thing for reit, esp a powerful sponsor.

Better do your home work. DYoDd.

ESR trading range 50.5-51.5cts situation, negatively impacted the merger.

For whatever reason esr price is being now traded below 54cts, its viewed as risk since VIT unitholders are getting esr share instead of all-cash.
Also it was quite funny that esr rep down playing the absence of right-of-first-refusal, in the presence of SIAS rep.And the more funny sais rep didn't defend such right on shareholder behalf.

The panellist/attendee mentioned that pre-merger price were well above present traded price.
I hope that, If merger don't get thru, price can return to those level then its still a win-win for both reits. Attendee wasn't wrong to highlight the risk of present low ESR traded price not being able to rise above the 54cts exchange price.

tonylim70      ( Date: 21-Aug-2018 00:33) Posted:

Then attendee w competent financial background rationalised well why  ESR is offering too much at 96 cts for Viva, so 96 cts for Viva does not offer strong compelling reason to accept the merger, ESR shd not offer the cash component for Viva.

In the end, we miss the chance of becoming Man-City and remains as Everton.

Good dialogue. Attendee w competent financial background rationalised well why 96cts does not offer strong compelling reason to accept. Good insight.
