Are they good?

GIL was listed on the Main Board of the Singapore Exchange Securities Trading Limited on 20 December 2006.  On 7 January 2019, the company transferred its domicile from Bermuda to Singapore and it is now registered in Singapore.

Its focus is to identify opportunities in a wide range of asset classes in different sectors and invest in assets that will generate steady income and potential appreciation in capital so as to deliver regular dividends and achieve capital growth.

We gotta understand its investments first. I heard it has some CDS/CDOs investments before. Lost big in 2008 as Babcock and Brown investments. Never fully recovered! Sat on millions of accumulated losses. Became better after ST took it over as manager.

Risky?  Is because there is no brick and mortal business, but dealing investments instead?

Thank you. Bro St. Max. This counter just came to my eyes after your promotion. Found it has extensively bought back their share all the while. Yield is stable and pretty good at 6 ~ 7%. Under Radr monitoring list.

Global investment have drop to 0.116. now good to enter? 

 

i count myself fortunate for having sold of this counter at 14.2 cents as the couter is heavily invested in China and EU, i expected the counter to drop due to the virus and all the problems facing the EU. But it has been one of the stocks that has been giving me good returns will enter again once situation stabilises

Waiting for Thursday when they will be announcing the results n dividends for the next half year. Guidance was 0.005cents but company made profit of 0.0075 cents last quarter n they tend to pay out majority in dividends so hoping they pay more. Shares prices are dropping cos company normally does not do a buy back b4 their announcement n so that is why there is currently no buyback announcements but it will hopefully start soon after. This counter has been good like KSH which has been giving good dividends twice yearly.
