I would tend to respect ur analysis/warning about Reits  IF reits  price drop  in a BULLISH/BULLISH TRENDING  market. Right now is every sector dropping in a BEARISH MARKET since beginning of the year, so to say  REIT sector is very bearish in a BEARISH MARKET is like not saying anything.

I can bet with u, when overall market sentiment becomes bullish again, Reits will be bullish too.

U are wrong, every sector is bearish because market is bearish now. Ur warning about Reits in Feb  happens  because at the moment, not only Reits, almost all sectors are affected by the bearish market sentiment. Look at Singtel, in Feb it was trading at $3.40+, now only $3.12. MANY other counters are trading at low level now. And most importantly look at STI index now compared to Feb.

If overall  market sentiment is bullish, Reits will not be trading at this low level and I bet u will not be here apologizing for ur false warning. U only appear when ur warning happens to become real because of OVERALL MARKET SENTIMENT.

So I see this as a opportunity to accumulate not only REITS but other counters too and wait for OVERALL MARKET SENTIMENT to become bullish again.

FTSE ST Real Estate Investment Trusts (FTSE ST REIT  Index)  decreases slightly from  818.49 to 814.74 (-0.46%) as compared to last post on  Singapore REIT Fundamental Comparison Table  on April 1, 2018.  The REIT index is consolidating in a Bear Flag pattern for past 3 months. A new bearish trend will start if the FTSE ST REIT Index breaks the 800 support.

Buy  reits that has low leverage , eg: less than 32%
Buy  reits that has P/NAV < 1
Buy  reits that has yield > 6%
Buy  reits whose share price is at  near  52 weeks low.
Buy reits that are going to expand by merger or acquisitions
Buy reits that has strong sponsor
