WELCOME INTERNATIONAL FLIGHTS FROM HONG KONG (CHINA) AND GUANGZHOU (CHINA) BACK TO DA NANG IN 2023
At 22:55 on July 3, Da Nang International Airport welcomed a international flight from Guangzhou (China) back to Da Nang, this is the first charter flight from the Guangzhou (China) market back to Da Nang after temporary pause due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Flight VN549 operated by Vietnam Airlines brought 200 passengers to the beautiful and hospitable Da Nang City.
Previously, on July 2, Da Nang International Airport has also welcomed tourists on the first international flight to resume from Hong Kong (China) to Da Nang city after a long time due to Covid-19 pandemic. Flight VJ873 operated by Vietjet Air brought 118 passengers to Da Nang International Airport at 18:20.

BANGKOK -- Online travel company Agoda sees tourism in Vietnam growing faster than in Thailand, but the kingdom could maintain its edge by removing visa friction, opening more flight routes and creating business reasons for travel.
Vietnam grew its share of inbound travel in the first five months of 2023, coming in third behind Japan and Thailand among Asian destinations. It jumped from fifth place in 2019, the last year of pre-pandemic travel.
Chinese Visitors to Vietnam Skyrocketed

According to the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism, international visitors to Vietnam in June 2023 were estimated at 975,010 arrivals, an increase of 427.0% over the same period in 2022.
Notably, only in June, Vietnam welcomed 158,260 Chinese visitors, up 108% compared to May.
With more than 557,000 visitors, China is ranked No. 2 in the top 10 largest international tourist markets of Vietnam, after South Korea 1.6 million. The third is the US with 374,000 visitors, Taiwan 322,400 visitors.
